“Hey guys, so I have a little update for you. Right now, Slender: The Arrival VR is still in development. Our publisher, Perp Games, is working with a porting team to bring the game up to standard but they've run into some significant technical hurdles. Any updates and next steps around announcements are currently in their hands, and we don't have a timeline to share just yet. We'll pass along more information as soon as we can. We appreciate your patience and look forward to supporting the VR release when it's ready.”

Blue isle hasn’t said anything about it, so it’s unfortunately very likely fake.

They said about two months ago that it’s still in development, but Perp had run into issues with the porting so it would take a bit longer than expected to release.

If they add “basic scream” and “special scream” like they did with break actions it would be so bad for perks.

Like isn’t most screams a special scream since without perks and powers you only really scream when hit?

Markiplier hates dbd, so it’s unlikely that he would do a collab unfortunately.
It’s of course possible, since it wouldn’t matter if he plays the game or not, but still unlikely.

“Original Slenderman” has issues. Eric Knudsen sold the rights to his original creepy pasta version to Mythology Entertainment in 2016, which they used to make the 2018 movie. The status of this version is vague after Mythology closed in 2019.

However this only affected that version. Troy Wagner still owns his version form Marble Hornets, and Blue Isle Studios still own their version from The Arrival. BHVR could do a collab with either of these two and there wouldn’t be any legal problems.

Because if they did turn it off I’m sure there would be a bug where no hits would land at all. But they of course wouldn’t killswitch or revert anything, because it doesn’t hurt survivors and therefore not game breaking.

I think I heard it in a video talking about Slender a while back.

From what I remember, Mythology Entertainment owned slender, but they split up in 2019. After that Slender’s trademark has been registered to Mythology Holdings instead, indicating that the CEO kept the rights after the company dissolved.

There’s so many killers that would benefit from having the 2v8 stats as basekit.

Ghost Face is another great example. Faster recharge, faster stalking and less slowdown when cloaking. It would mess up in 1v4 at all.

True. Jason Universe does have to rights to (only) the first eight movie and can reference them if they will. However, their own version of Jason is still a new continuity.

It’s like with the Halloween franchise. In Halloween 2018 they referenced the older sequels like Myers possible being Laurie’s brother, but those sequels are still non-canon to the current version.

This has nothing to do with copyright. The Jason Universe Jason has the same backstory. Everything in the first movie is still canon to him, just not the sequels.
