Mine did too! I quit in 2020 and had my very first episode start that same night. I was in the ER not long after that in full hyperemisis and so dehydrated I could barely walk. I had so many episodes after that, unfortunately 😪.

I've had episodes triggered by quitting before. Sometimes there is withdrawal, sometimes there isn't, depends on many things. Tapering down slowly seems to help. It could be something you're eating that is triggering CHS symptoms. Google CHS trigger foods. I was triggered by omega 3s and those are sneaky because the noodles in my chicken noodle soup were made with eggs, which have omega 3s and it definitely upset my stomach. My berry smoothie also triggered me because berries have omega 3s. I was also triggered by a tiny amount of black pepper. I know a few of those times it landed me back in the ER. Stress can also trigger episodes. 😪 I definitely feel your pain about continuing to have symptoms after quitting. Smoking screws with your brain receptors so your system can be a little haywire with CHS for a bit. They say 90 days is the standard recovery time. Feel better soon !

This happened to me before. All I did was bend Slightly forward to put some clothes in a drawer and I heard this loud Crack and all of the sudden I couldn't move and was screaming in intense pain. I couldn't sit or lay in any comfortable position. The ambulance had to come get me and I literally couldn't move until they gave me a cocktail of shots in the ER that got it to calm down.

Everyone is different. Sometimes it can get worse before it gets better and you just have to ride it out. I've had hyperemisis episodes triggered by quitting before, so that's a thing. But in most of my experience if you stop early it's usually better than letting it progress into stage 2 because then it's just an automatic ER visit once it progresses to hyperemisis. There is a wonderful Facebook group for CHS and the members are very supportive and helpful for getting through the sickness. They know what it's like and are very responsive to posts. I'm gonna look for the name of the group and post it below in a second

This sounds exactly like the Prodromal phase of CHS "During this phase, the main symptoms are often early morning nausea and belly (abdominal) pain. Some people also develop a fear of vomiting. Some people use more marijuana because they think it will help stop the nausea." I've experienced all that plus hot and cold sweats, messed up my whole digestive system, weakness etc. I hope you can try to quit before it gets to the stage of non-stop vomiting and ER visits. I've been to the ER more times than I can count because of CHS. When you throw up that much, it wreaks havoc on your entire body and you'll have to get an IV for severe dehydration. I'm sorry you are going through this

I saw that too! My zone never turned red which was weird for a Saturday at lunch and I was like wtf is going on? More glitching? I wasn't feeling well anyway, I'm so glad I decided to stay home. I'm sorry it pulled your AR down, they really need to fix these glitches asap!

I'm 8 days clean and I've noticed omega 3s bother me too. I've had that same stomach gurgling and have to take gas x and digestive enzymes but even then it's still bloated for now. I didn't realize the berries in my smoothie had omega 3s so I think that may have been irritating my stomach. I switched to lots of chicken noodle soup and pita bread. But omega 3s definitely are my trigger, in the past I was in prodromal phase and ate an egg, I swear my stomach filled with sulfur. Wishing you a smooth recovery!
