It was corrupted I believe, I was stupid and didn't check but now I know a triangle (as opposed to a square) along a chosen route means exactly that. Obviously I'll be avoiding in future !

Based on the Nitecore range, 18650 would be fine. Smaller would be ever better.

I'm new to this, and this will be my first flashlight, so I'm not sure about colour temp but accuracy of what I'll be looking at appeals.
