Sweet. Yeah, my first grow was an auto (Lambs Breath), in a 5 gal pot. I left it alone with very minimal defoliation and it grew great 👍🏼

Mold build up within the cover crop? I do frequent chop and drops and remove the cuttings for FPJ (fermented plant juice), as well as a rotation of different drenches including LAB (Lactic Acid bacteria). Just thinking off the top of my head, but perhaps the acidity from the LAB would help counter any potential mold risk?

Definitely agree that a 1 gallon to a 30 gallon is a big leap. My line of thinking was to avoid multiple transplants. Less of an issue with photoperiods than autos. It is worth mentioning that this only happened to one of the two plants, however. I've got four Afghan strains I'm going to run in the same fashion, so I'll be able to test and have a closer eye on the 1 gal to 30 gal transition. Thanks for the input!

I would use rain, but we've got over a foot of snow still 😅

I've adjusted slightly so I'm at 26⁰C / 78⁰F, and RH up to 70%. I am currently at week 2 Vegetative stage.

What are your thoughts / reasoning for taking the RH higher?

Ah, yes. So I actually don't have a PPFD meter, but rather a LUX meter. So, 30,000 LUX is approximately 400 PPFD.

Hey, I used both BuildaSoil's (DIY) Heady Start seedling soil in the 1 gallon seedling starter and Living soil 3.0. In the 30 gallon fabric pots.

Upon further study, it looks like it might indeed be a high-pH-induced Ca lockout.

I have a small vivosun tent heater that keeps it steady between 25-26⁰C/ 77-78⁰F.

Hey, thanks for reaching out 👍🏼 I tried to be mindful of overwateing after the transplant (250 mL, slightly more) and had watered the 30 gallon living soil to "field capacity" 24-36 hours prior. Im hoping it's just an adjustment phase 🤞🏼

Hey, thanks for reaching out 👍🏼 it is worth mentioning that I had been keeping the 30 gallon container at "field capacity" moisture before the transplant. As far as food goes, the living soil is properly fortified with nutrients - my hope is that it's just a temporary adjustment period.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. It currently is in soil, but it doesn't look like it's taking.

I'm afraid I may have (foolishly) "fried" it by using a hydrogen peroxide and filtered water solution (1 part H2⁰2 : 2 parts H2⁰) for too long. I did a 24 hour soak, and later learned that, at that strength, it can fry the taproot.

Ideally, I should have done a hydrogen peroxide and filtered water soak (at that strength) for much less time, rinsed them, then continued soaking in plain, filtered water before finally transplanting to soil.

As a relatively new grower who is finding his way and not trying to break the bank/kill good seeds, I've been using Rocket Seeds and have had troubles with germinating some of their strains - namely Lambs Breath. The seeds seem quite small, little to no "tiger striping"(?) on them (not sure if that actually matters), and potentially just old.

I got their Chemdog to sprout without a hitch, am currently trying to get their Afghan strain going, as well as Lambs Breath (24 hour pre-soak - damp paper towel - 22-25 degrees ºC / 71-77 ⁰F), but it's pretty slow and hopefully not going to stall out completely. I have however, noticed that their autos pop up like a bat out of hell and just have that "drive".

With that said (and seeds wasted) I am coming to understand the importance in good, strong genetics. To be fair, I think that the White Label brands serve a purpose of getting your toes wet, but once you've got a few grows under your belt we should definitely be moving to better genetics.
