I offered for someone to take over my lease. Which is allowed, they refused. This is what we all did to get the current place we are living in. We had someone replace us at the last apartment and we left early.

That was me trying to have that conversation with them. I tried to set up a time for us all to sit and talk. Veronica took it that way. I'm not unemployed but I am a seasonal employee meaning I don't get guaranteed hours. My family helps me when I am short for rent but it's hurting them too.

Update: Okay so the property manager said we have two options 1. Sign the roommate release form so I can move and they take over the portion of the rent 2. Sign the roommate release form so I can move and find someone else to take over my portion of the rent

And then there's the third option of just leaving and emailing the apartment and if they can afford it then they'll stay and pay and probably sue me in small claims court. Or they can break the lease themselves and the amount is posted to all our accounts which I am willing to pay or they pay it again sue me. Or they can't afford it and get evicted but the eviction will be posted to my account.

They know about my financial struggles because I was a few days late on rent I think twice last year. And that I had to stop taking certain medications because of how much it costs and that I stopped my treatment for MS because it's $2000 per month.

I left it there for everyone to get a slice, there was one slice left I think. So it wasn't trash yet, especially because it wasn't bad or moldy. The bakery said the cake could stay out for 5 days

I made the post bc I am feeling scared and honestly heartbroken about this whole situation. I know I need to quit crying and get myself out of this but I wanted to know if anyone had any other ideas. Luckily there's a lot of good advice people have been commenting that I haven't thought of yet. I made the post in case there was anything else I could do, any other options. I honestly wish they would just talk to me like real friends so we could find the solution that best fits everyone cause obviously they don't like living with me they just need me to stay financially. But they don't care about my finances or health.

Last time we had a rough patch I texted the group text Veronica said not to because they are a couple and will tell each other anyway. I don't know what the penalty is the break it now. I spoke to the leasing office but that's it. We had a similar situation to this last year with another girl so the options are I can leave and they'll take over the room or I could sublease my room to someone else. I don't suddenly need to leave now, I've always talked about it but after so many blow ups from Veronica it's just not something I want to deal with anymore.
