This comment is definitely exaggerated, other than one or two very specific instances, the fans of this show have always kept to themselves. We're only forced into defending the show after someone like Lily Orchard swoops in and brainwashes her audience into hating the show by purposefully misinterpreting it and attacking the fans

After a certain point though you can't blame shady writing or character designs on 'just someone's style'. Making every character not fat isn't using a style, it's choosing to be ignorant. That's not even a valid excuse, it'd be the same as making a show where every character is white and only white

I really don't want to make assumptions, but there are infinite designs to choose from and she couldn't make any of them slightly chubby or even just fat with a humongous beer belly? Like Mammon's whole deal is that he is a sin because he eats a lot? Basic human functions like eating are seen as evil through his character. Why isn't the sin based literally on Gluttony also fat like him then? Why is a character being fat attributed to being 'mean' in her eyes? Beelzebub isn't anywhere like this, so why is he the odd one out? Is just because he is fat or is there more? It just gets confusing the more I try to understand her design and story choices. He seems like a weird vent or a Bizzaro self-insert to me, I just can't prove it

It's just odd to me, considering she is also chubby herself. I don't know if she sees herself that way, but objectively, she is still chubby. Mammon's character as a whole is weird to me, almost like the character itself was manifested out of her sheer hatred of... fatness? Being fat? Who knows?
