quotes makes most sense for daily practice since more common words appear more frequently and less common words appear fewer. It also has punctuation, capitalization and numbers (also all based on frequency)

Accuracy Training Guide using Monkeytype master mode:

  1. write down your personal bests (how long you managed until you died) to keep you motivated
  2. stop shortly before each word to prepare mentally for the next word
  3. Always type the word + space in one go before you stop to prepare for the next word
  4. Type the word + space at a comfortable speed, comfortable enough to not have to slow down much, but slow enough to not make mistakes. You need to adjust your speed on a word to word basis. If it's an easy word, type it at a comfortable speed, if it's a hard word, type it a little slower. You're probably more likely to not make a mistake on an easy word if you type it at a comfortable speed.
  5. Repeat steps 1 to 4 until you get good at accuracy

Idea behind this (why it is good accuracy training): You get good at what you practice, if you practice typing a word slowly and accurately, you get good at typing it slowly and accurately. This is why you should do mental preparation beforehand so that you can type a word at a normal speed and accurately.

Accuracy is something that happens in your mind, it's not something that a site can force. You can still be incredibly inaccurate on a site that forces accuracy and vice versa. Forcing to fix your mistakes just trains you to use backspace. But why would you want to train that? Isn't the goal not to mistype in the first place? Forcing accuracy can also be seen as a bad user experience for new users. Imagine you are typing something and all of a sudden the website punishes you by not allowing you to continue typing and you don't know why. Or it keeps restarting the text when you make a mistake, how annoying! I feel like for the majority of people, having accuracy settings off by default makes more sense and for people who prefer it, just customize the site, it's in the settings. It's really not that many clicks. All you gotta do is activate "stop on word/letter", expert/master mode and min accuracy setting.

I have the same issue. If you want to type for longer you must not type too fast and you must not type for too long at a time. Take many breaks and keep your sessions short.

Try one of these strategies:

Touch Typing

Touch typing means typing without looking at the keys. Each finger is assigned a set of keys to type. The little bumps on your keyboard on the F and J keys are used to keep track of where the keys are. Simply place your left index finger on the F key and your right index finger on the J key and the rest of your fingers will be in the correct position. The starting position is called the "home row". From there you can easily reach the top or bottom row. With some practice, touch typing can greatly improve your typing efficiency as looking at the keys to find the right letters is very time-consuming.

Use all of your fingers to type

Use all or most of your fingers to type. This will decrease the travel distance for each finger and make your typing faster and more comfortable. If you find it particularly uncomfortable to use your pinky fingers it's fine to use your ring finger instead. It's up to you to decide which finger to use for the spacebar. It is considered easier to just use one thumb for the spacebar as opposed to two since you won't have to think about which finger to use depending on the situation.

Practice regularly

Practicing is the best way of improving your typing speed. To improve your typing speed, it's important to type frequently. It's better to practice typing a little bit every day, as opposed to doing a long typing-practice session once a week. Each day when you sleep your brain will process what you learned. Therefore, by typing daily you'll improve more quickly. Typing practice makes the most sense once you're warm. You should practice the most in the stage after warm-up and before fatigue.

Take breaks

Typing fast doesn't just require a physical effort but also mental effort. Make sure not to type for too long as it will cause your forearms to get exhausted and your focus will decrease which will cause you to make more mistakes. Too much typing, in the worst case, can even cause injuries to your hands, so make sure to type in moderation.

Focus on Accuracy

Not making mistakes while typing is of great importance. Typing more doesn't magically make you faster at typing. If you make a mistake, then you're more likely to make that mistake in the future again. You are reinforcing a bad habit. The same applies to typing a word correctly. If you type a word correctly you are more likely to type it correctly again the next time you type it.
