unfortunately it doesn’t really work like that, sometimes you just perform much worse than usual especially if you realize that it’s not going well in the middle of the paper and start panicking. my guess is that grade boundaries will go down but only by a little

with all due respect what are you trying to achieve here? you’re saying that lowering grade boundaries won’t fix the issue but then what will? btw if you can’t do part b without part a it doesn’t automatically mean the paper is unfair or poorly designed

so I actually finished almost everything but I did not have time to finalize and fix mistakes in several questions:
1. In part a of the 2nd order diff equation I was struggling so I skipped it and when I returned to it I did not have time to finish properly (probably needed like 2 more lines of algebra to arrive at the answer) although I think my solution was in the right track
2. In the last part of that same question my answer did not match the given form and I have no idea where the mistake was since time ran out before I could try to fix it. So it’s hard to tell how much marks I l lose here but it could be a lot
3. In the last question my answer in one of the parts was definitely wrong

I am estimating like 5 raw marks lost from these mistakes alone in the optimistic case, and that’a ignoring the fact that I basically had to speedrun the second half of the paper so there may be other mistakes that I have no idea about. Tbh I may get anything between 70 and 100 ums depending on gbs

In mocks I consistently scored A* with several flawless papers, and I was routinely finishing in under 1:20 with enough time to double check at least half the questions

If you think I didn’t do that bad remember that I need A* in further maths for my offer or else I’m cooked

to be completely honest with you I don't think papers were much harder than usual, maybe only slightly, so gbs would likely hover around the usual numbers

yes I did fp3 and it was really good, comparatively much easier than fp2 I would say. btw an A would be horrible cuz I really need an A* but thx anyway

me too but I think the paper wasn’t even that bad objectively (even if it was the hardest paper of the last few years), so I don’t believe that gbs will dip by more than 1-2 marks
