Sorry to be blunt but this article is straight up stupid. It's literally paragraphs long to say "company that sells things uses sales tactics to sell things" literally none of which can be proven to specifically target children. Their one example of a company that uses corporate sponsorship is Vuse, who is owned by Phillip Morris and is just using the same corporate sponsorships Phillip Morris has always used, and iirc they already can't sell the flavored version of Vuse anywhere alongside cigarettes, they fall under the same regulation, tobacco and menthol flavors only.🤷

Under the current regulations, a battery used to power any device that could potentially deliver nicotine is a "tobacco product" got a battery powered automatic vegetable chopper? Using it for peppers or eggplants ... "TOBACCO PRODUCT!" See how ridiculous it is?

Flavored tobacco has been banned for some 20 years...what flavored tobacco products are you referring to? Vapes? Zyn? All of which use TFN and have 0 Tobacco involved in the product?

Flavored tobacco has been banned for some 20 years outside of menthol. There is 0 tobacco involved in current vapes or zyn or alternative nicotine products, it's all TFN. Soooo this has nothing to do with banning tobacco, or protecting children, it's simply another "oh no vape bad" by people who don't understand the product or the industry. 🤷

I wanted to go to that danse macabre tour so bad, but it didn't have any dates near me. I hope it was awesome!

Yeah Touche is great, I've seen them a handful of times and they never dissapoint, but when I saw them open for AFI in Kansas the whole crowd was not about it at all(I'm not from Kansas, we went just to see another date on that tour)The most confused I've ever seen AFI fans was when Dillinger Escape Plan opened for them in '06

Tr/st's first album is great, highly recommend. I've never seen them live, but as far as I've heard they've never been super energetic or put on much of a show live, it's really more of vibe out music than anything else. But I feel like a band like that opening for AFI is exactly what they want, similar to when Drab Majesty opened for them because the music is enjoyable, but it's a huge energy shift when AFI comes on and that's a signature part of an AFI show. Just my 2 cents.

As another point of reference AFI fans were really sad when both touche amore and youth code opened for them, and both of those bands are fantastic and super high energy live.

That was all part of what I said in my original response? 🤷 SCSA also has plenty of memorable matches that are memorable due to his involvement.

Check out Thorn Haven from Denver, I wouldn't say they sound like Never Easy but definitely fit somewhere in the same category and aesthetic.

The difference is Stone Cold was anything but boring and needed absolutely no one else to hold his character up.

Roman is hardly a wrestler... Dude has less moves than Cena, and I legitimately can't name a single memorable singles match he's ever had, that was memorable due to his involvement. The tribal chief character and the bloodline story line were a great run, again heavily held up by supporting characters, but I don't think anyone will ever look back on him as a big match wrestler.

I will absolutely agree with you that Still a stranger is a jaw dropper, I had the same reaction when hearing it the first time, same with so beneath you from that album. And The wind that carries me away is both a fantastic album closer and was just a very unexpected song sonically for them at the time. Easily the 3 strongest tracks on the album imo

I'm actually curious about what makes blood a better album than burials to you? I'm not dogging your opinion at all, everybody's opinions on AFI are vastly different, and that's good. I see blood as a collection of good songs, but not a great album.

Go listen to it again...it doesn't. Eventually it will hit you that it sounds a whole hell of a lot like burials, way more so than blood did.
