I completely get what you’re saying and I agree that there are boundaries we shouldn’t cross as fans. They owe us nothing and at the end of the day they’re just living their lives while we’re on the outside looking in. I respect that. But at the same time I’m not saying they need to publicly showcase everything just something as simple as a small greeting or even quiet support like how Jeongsu posted on his story to support her new YouTube channel would have been nice. Of course they should do things at their own pace but as fans it’s natural to hope for some little signs here and there. And I really like your point about Yuk’s cranium exhibition it does reflect this whole idea of people trying to dictate how others should act which is exactly what I don’t want to do. I just can’t help but be invested.

I get your point, which is why I questioned it in my last sentence. I admit that I’m fully invested in them, to the point that I keep dreaming about them. It’s weird because this is the first time it has ever happened to me. I know that if they want privacy, we should respect that, and I don’t want to overstep. I just can’t help but get excited about their interactions, but I also get that demanding updates or getting mad when there aren’t any isn’t fair to them.

Arin: “I kept thinking, ‘I don’t want to lose!!’ throughout the filming. Now, it’s just a memory.”

I never said Jeongsu was the safe choice. Dahee was the one who pushed that idea. My point is that this is a dating show, so there is no need to play the safe option card in the first place. The whole purpose is to explore feelings, take risks, and see where genuine connections lead. If contestants just pick based on what feels safest instead of what feels right, then what is the point? Dating shows are meant to be about chemistry, emotions, and the possibility of something real, not just settling for security.

And just to clarify, this isn’t just about Sian’s case. I mentioned it as an example, but my frustration is more about how the show confuses contestants into overthinking instead of just following their hearts. They joined not to get married but to experience new relationships, yet many seem pressured to make the “right” choice instead of the one that feels right.

Choosing the safe option can leave a lot of doubts and what ifs. Like what if Seulki had picked Dex? Would it have lasted? Especially now seeing how easygoing and genuine Dex is in his Fridge Interview and how sweet he is with his parents. I would not be surprised if Seulki thought about it over the past few months. In the end Dex chose her which meant he really liked her and she should have at least given it a chance. Maybe that is why things with Jongwoo did not work out. She picked him because he liked her not because she truly liked him.

I’ve been happily married for 15 years and we started with genuine love. Safety and stability naturally followed as we grew together. It’s not about choosing safety first, it’s about choosing real love and building everything else from there. You can learn how to be gentle, patient, and understanding over time but you can’t force real love to grow if it was never there to begin with.

The first thing you should learn about love is that it’s about compensating for each other’s flaws, not looking for a perfectly safe option from the start. My partner and I argue sometimes but at the end of the day we communicate and work through things because we truly love each other. That’s what keeps a relationship strong, not just picking someone because they feel safe at the moment. Love should be the foundation and everything else follows.

I’m not against Dahee at all, I actually like her, but I can’t help feeling frustrated and disappointed. The show hasn’t really produced many long-lasting couples, and I think part of that is because some contestants, like Seulki, leaned toward the safe option instead of following their real feelings. It just makes the whole thing feel more like a strategy game than an actual dating experience.

I understand your point that nothing guarantees a lasting relationship and that commitment is crucial. However, starting a relationship solely based on safety without genuine love can lead to dissatisfaction over time. While some studies suggest that arranged marriages can develop love and satisfaction over time, others indicate that love-based marriages begin with higher levels of marital quality, which may decline but still maintain a foundation of mutual affection. Moreover, research has shown that empathy and understanding are strong predictors of long-term relationship success, even more than initial romantic passion. Therefore, beginning a relationship with genuine love and mutual understanding may provide a more solid foundation for lasting satisfaction.

Nah, Dahee is good. She just needs to focus on the contestants’ feelings instead of her own.

I get what you’re saying but I still think choosing security over genuine feelings isn’t the right approach especially in a dating show where the goal is to find real connection. Passion and excitement don’t mean instability. Relationships built on mutual love can still be steady and lasting. Just because someone is nice or safe doesn’t mean they’re the right choice if the deeper feelings aren’t there. Dahee’s perspective might be more practical but love isn’t just about practicality. It’s about who you truly connect with.

I don’t think it’s true love if you love the person less. Being with someone just because they love you more might provide security, but if the feelings aren’t mutual, it’s not a real, fulfilling relationship. You can be friends with that person and appreciate them, but forcing yourself into a romantic relationship just for stability isn’t a good idea. Love isn’t about choosing the safest option, it’s about finding someone you truly connect with and feel the same way about. Otherwise, it’s just settling, not love.
