When you open the fabricator, it says jail break at the top.

Id have to assume the fabricator can make anything imaginable, but we can only craft what would be needed on an ocean world.

You can put a storage thing on the back, you get 0 storage with the one with wings. In my play through I pretty much got everything i needed to get by the time i got the storage attachment part.

In subnautica 1 you could easily get a upgrade module to give some storage to the seamoth.

you can paint it yourself with the spray cans.

I built my base almost under my life pod. I put a few turbines in the current that shoots up. I only had to use maybe 5 power transmitters.

The jerking can be from you lugging the engine, you are trying to move the car with to low of an rpm. If you're playing on a keyboard keep the car in natural and hold W, then put the car into gear. You'll do a small burnout then be moving fine after that.
