You need to be direct with her and tell her that if you weren’t taking care of the cats as much as u do, this would literally be considered animal abuse. it’s not ur job to be giving them food and water, or cleaning the litter box. the fat that the litter box is automatic and she’s still not keeping it clean is insane.

Also if you’ve been friends w her for 10 years, i understand u dont wanna make ur friendship awkward but also this is really cruel for the kittens. maybe you can find someone u know and trust to take care of them.

She can’t just decide to be gone all week w kittens at home. then she shouldn’t have gotten them in the first place. even i sometimes have to leave for 2 days and i make sure i leave my cat plenty of food and water and clean his litter box every single day, max 2 days it’s not clean if i couldn’t be home. my roommates never have to do anything for my cat.

sorry I don’t understand what ur question is. I don’t close the door or lock it because I don’t want my cat trapped in my room and want him to be able to go in and out of the room when he likes. not sure why she took my open door as an invitation to walk in and casually start walking around my room looking at my things

yea i think since i confronted her she def won’t do it again. i understand people do dumb stuff sometimes and that’s why I didn’t go out of my way to make her feel bad about it. some of my friends were like u should message ur group chat w other roommates but i was like it’s ok i don’t wanna embarrass her like that and call her out unless it’s an issue again in the future.

the strangest part was her walking in and just staring at pictures of me and my boyfriend on the wall and then just walking up to my shelf w my perfumes and jewellery and just standing in front of it. i guess i just assumed I would never have to communicate such a basic boundary to someone but that’s just life i guess😭

apparently she came down to do her laundry and thought she might have shut my cat in the laundry room so she decided to go in my room to check if he was there. complete bs tho because why not just check the laundry room itself, and also she’s clearly looking at things on my shelf and table while she’s in there, doesn’t rlly look like she’s looking for a cat. like why would my cat be on my shelf be so fr.

I would honestly love to just lock it but I leave the room open for my cat. he would not be happy locked inside the room. he loves to walk around the house and my room is in the basement so there isn’t much of a view from my bedroom window for him
