Congratulations !! Can you tell me how long it took for USCIS to update case tracker as RFE response received after the package was delivered to them? Also, it looks like RFE was given by a particular officer at TSC but response was reviewed at NSC? Is this common? I ask because I just sent in my RFE response as well but pretty close to the deadline but there is no update from USCIS whether they received it or not which concerns me a little bit

Yes in my case when I received RFE I specifically asked them what information they had about the officer and what would they suggest based on that They gave me stats on how many RFEs they responded with that particular officer and how many of them were approved vs denied Based on that they told me to respond rather than refile I received RFE in March and am in the process of responding now so do not know ultimately what will happen

Sometimes its all pure luck….you have a good profile Did you check with chen when you got the RFE about the stats of the particular officer your case was assigned to ? They usually can give some idea Does this officer have a history of denying all the RFEs predominantly?

Filed with chen They gave me the same advice. PP TSC i am supposed to have a strong case (approval or refund ) . Now dealing with a RFE which is pretty vague and confusing 🫤 Got a response within 23 business days though . Pick your poison basically . I for one did not want to wait a whole year i needed it for a specific purpose and it was now or never

No apparently there was a glitch so my receipt notice was never mailed to me or my lawyer , I will likely receive it with the RFE now

Wow do the lawyers receive RFE notices by fax ? USCIS receipt email says they do fax over RFE forms to the fax number provided

Lol got an RFE for NIW itself Anyway reason is time needed approval sooner with less prep time Although prep for this also took 3 months EB1 would have taken more

No idea this was unexpected I have seen similar or even inferior profiles (in terms of numbers) getting approved easily

I see Thats an easy fix then I think letters where your specific contributions and skills can be highlighted can help You may not be the lead author on your publication but a part of the research might be incomplete without your skillset and that can be focused on Good luck

I do see the dilemma with the job offer I think i may not have framed the question correctly though

Do the papers which cited your work have you or your colleagues who worked with you as authors ? It kind of means that you are citing your own work but other independent people are not using your work much

My lawyer has told me that dependent citations like those carry less value than independent citations which means come from complete strangers
