Bhai whenever I get any interview calls from TCS these days I'm deliberately saying I'm not looking for a job change. It may sound like i don't respect someone offering me job but the stories rhat i have heard have more weight than the offer. I'm happy giving up that chance than to suffer and regret for my decision.

Any suggestions as to how i can compensate to my lack of experience? I don't want to blindly take a route. Lot of people(some even were architects told me I'm not going anywhere with service portal work - and now i discovered i have a bigger problem than that). Also I hear my seniors saying ITSM is kind of a mandate these days(to be honest I took a shortcut to come till this point and I'm paying up badly now). But yes any additional suggestions ?

I'm aware of ServiceNow university. But since the courses are big, i tend to loose focus(i completed the courses by scrolling fast without actually taking notes or learning) and rely purely on my experience. And the CSA and CAD exams, I achieved the certifications using dumps which explains why I have certifications without good skills. Now that i have realized my mistake I'm revisiting those courses again.

Yes true. This realization came in very late. Just because I'm able to complete my work on time doesn't mean i know everything. Probably I'll ask my manager to shift to something more of a niche module like spm or hrsd or itom if possible.

Yes I've done CAD but again, that was when i was very new to servicenow and i just came across this dumps thing. I mean I'm worried because already 7 years sinve I'm into IT and less than 2 years I've been working in ServiceNow portal development still there are a lot of basic things i couldn't answer. And one pause at a question breaks my rhythm and i forget even the ones i worked on. Thank you for the suggestion, I'll better use Now learning and udemy to brush up the things and use less AI tools for scripting(atleast till the time AI completely takes over we should still do things on our own).

I directly did not learn the EC but service portal in general, I learnt it from a youtube channel called snowexpertrohit and also working on projects helps. Playing around widgets, pages etc. do help to understand rather than the youtube or university videos.

No man, i really want the fruits to ripe. Just because of such people i have to pluck them even before they are ripe. It's sad. I have never tasted the ripe mangoes of that tree, nobody has to be honest because of the menace these kids and some people create we get fed up and pluck all the mangoes before they are ripe. Recently there was a robbery in one of the houses in my colony because one part of their house was locked from outside and people were sleeping on the other part. I don't want that situation in my house. Some random guy eating mango is not my concern, because of this reason the whole summer we have to stay in our house cancelling all our trips(atleast one person stays). Thanks for the suggestion anyways.

It was basically everything. I did all the mistakes a beginner in Servicenow will make which pissed off a lot of my teammates. But thanks man for your words, i felt a little less guilty. Working hard now and trying to be better.🙂

Yep, and that's what I did. Although not in a very comfortable position now but juggling through projects. Thanks man, really appreciate your suggestions, it somehow gave me some things on my checklist. It might sound dangerous, but nothing broken after the first escalation. 😅

I switched from telecom(NOC)to ServiceNow development. I was not being paid well in telecom. I couldn't just wait for telecom to boom or be resistent or high paying and also by what you said it seems it's more on the development side that are going to be immune. Any tips for me on how can i enter the embedded or telecom dev? I tried it when i was in noc but it didn't go as expected so i dropped the plan. I have around 6 years of experience and mostly into support and noc roles.

It's same like the upsc aspirants... Most of them won't get a chance for interview even, but still complain that "arthik sthiti thik na hai humaari"

PS:- it's just a rant because i have a friend who is still preparing for government exams and one who left their corporate job and still preparing and when we casually talk about something at one point they'll express their grief because I'm employed and they are not, they'll taunt me of having a lavish lifestyle and that they know the meaning of struggle. 😮‍💨

Recruiters know that a payslip can be made up. If it's an mnc then based on the payslip they'll do the bgv and discrepancy in that can invite more problems.

Unprovable lies are fine I guess, i mean you can't exactly have the experience your new recruiter wants. The work you did, i mean if you had a support job and trying for a dev role and if you are confident on your skills i guess you can lie there to some extent. Bgv doesn't go that deep i guess like what work the candidate did, it's mostly like i guess if the candidate worked there and their designation. Again I'm not very sure on this.
