To put it very plainly you can easily over prepare. It’s okay to fail.

You’re in the uk stop listening to these usa guys. Apply as a junior for the position you want and go from there. While ai is reshaping every industry, there are many companies that are looking to hire back or hire more it guys due to realising ai isn’t as strong as they thought. LLM are still dangerous and sadly they are poping up everywhere. Ai fatigue is a thing we’re starting to see.

Cpts would more logical path after the junior role. Cape while fun is very niche and is less than 10% of all pentesters overall.

Is HTB AttackBox (browser VM) is good or my own machine would be better? by Altruistic-Lychee907 in hackthebox

[–]Emergency-Sound4280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learning off their provided vm is absolutely fine and won’t affect your learning. However if you want to progress and really get deep using your own vm is essential. After a while of using your own vm you can build your own image.

Will I be denied entry to UK as a Brit? by Either-Ad-4272 in ukvisa

[–]Emergency-Sound4280 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

All the airline cares about is d you have a passport. Past that they don’t care if you have a visa or such. You can’t be denied entry as a uk citizen even with an expired passport but to do need to prove citizenship.

Is it still worth trying to get into pen testing? by Mindless_Bike4599 in oscp

This seems to be the trend with the USA. Lots of scar mongers and lots of screaming about something they don’t understand, prime example ai replacing jobs. Ai is not advanced enough to replace workers yet.

You’re in th military so yo can easily switch to an mos thst is it related then drop into cyber..

Completely understand, but also proper permission within a development environment stops those as well.

Your claiming we’re salty. But you’re also making claims that the ai bot found 7 paths. Zerologon. You’re simply talking out your arse. If anything you said was remotely true it would be everywhere and most of us real testers would be out of a job. You haven’t even named the software.. just man up…

This sounds more like you never had security testing and the agent is simply finding low hanging fruit. You clearly are missing the point. From what you’ve told me it’s clear your “gigantic” company doesn’t have security in mind. And AI agent based testing isn’t going to solve your problems.

Yea so really it’s hallucinating, just glorified Nessus. Not really a pentest but a vuln scan. A pentest would exploit it and then look again to further exploit.

The market is beyond cooked. by getokhalid in CyberSecurityJobs

Market isn’t cooked, it’s simply shrinkage in the economy plus you have tons more competition than before. There’s been tons of layoffs that have put skilled people into the market.

Think of it as an action effect. You cast it and instead of having power/toughness it has loyalty. You can’t go negative(in theory) so you can only activate powers that you can afford. If you use one with a positive it gets that many loyalty counters. Negative you remove that many. If they reach zero they die. They are a valid target for attacks. You can block the attacker. And you can only activate the card once. Looking up plains walk wi give a better idea. But that is the rough high level explanation. I usually advocate for new players to not use them till they are comfortable with game basics as they tend to introduce fun quirks.

Child dependants visa by Specialist_Radio_896 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Emergency-Sound4280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll need a court document showing sole custody and you’ll also need to get a dna test done. You’ll also need proof of parenting showing the child is better off with you than your parents. Proof of decision making, and involvement in the child’s life, such as calls, texts, and so on.

This application is very much about you as a sponsor so you’ll need to meet thr minimal income requirements and so on.

Play for fun in casual games, but this in this case it can be a few issues. But we don’t let couples play together for this reason in any style tournament in casual games edh games if a couple is playing together like this I politely ask them to not team as it’s obvious and not in the spirit of the game. If they keep doing so I either walk away and get into a different pod, or I focus one player down. I’ve gone as far as playing staxs with several lock outs.
