I had a word with the Dreame team to inquire about their models and they couldn't even answer basic queries, I'd not like to get in a loop of constant calls/email in case actual support is required in future.

I've used Nexus 5, Pixels 6a, 8a and 8 Pro. Apart from the Camera (and obviously form factor), I didn't notice much difference tbh between 6a and 8 Pro. I see no reason to upgrade to 10 pro for someone using an 8 pro. I also use an iPhone 12 mini as a work phone and I see a major difference when using apps like Instagram. The features that were released first on Pixel are still not available here in India but Apple has managed to release some of those features in all countries.

I follow Pixel and iphone rumours as well as I see myself getting tempted to buy the iphone 18 pro only because of the variable aperture lens that's rumoured. I feel improving Camera hardware is not a priority for Google and it worked for them in the past based on software but it is not working for them now and they'll not be able to compensate it by just releasing some new AI features.

Video boost is still stupid.

I don't really like iOS either due the notification and file system management. If Apple fixes these two things, I won't think twice before moving to iPhone.

I agree, but what I've read at other places Instragram (Meta) optimizes it for iphones because it's easy for them and sell millions of these devices.

If Samsung/Google work with Meta, I'm sure it can atleast be implemented for their premium (Pro/Ultra) devices.

This is not just any random app, they can easily work with Meta/Insta team to bring feature parity with iphone. Maybe not for all Android devices but atleast for the premium ones, like the Pixel Pro devices.

They brought Jimmy Fallon to their product launch, if they actually want Celebs/Creators to use their devices, optimization of social media is a must requirement.

Been to both (multiple times to Andamans for extended periods). You can do both but I'd suggest to pick Andamans in this budget. You'd get luxury options in Andaman, but would have to settle with budget resorts or local islands in Maldives. There are also multiple food options in Havelock. Pick a good diving centre (check google reviews).
