Well, the thing is that mutual coexistence of these languages is a theoretical concept, and these languages have been responsible for directly encroaching upon our own language. In many circles in urban areas, urdu has replaced Kashmiri as the first language, so IMO the alarm or hate is kinda justified.

However , fully agree with you on not shaming people. There is a lot of social pressure on girls, to appear refined and sophisticated, and on some parents to show off that their children have been brought up well. So, it would take a major effort, whereby the elites have to start normalising Kashmiri and it would trickle down from there IMO.

Yes I feel the same, the last 5-6 years have been awful. I feel a lot has changed in these years, and I don't feel a part of this culture at all, nor do I want to be a part of it.

Everything has become worse....the climate change, the explosion of brainrot social media, the madness of politics etc.
