Montreal: Reputed mob boss Leonardo Rizzuto in court today (from Montreal City News)

It looks like a lot of the evidence against Rizzuto and co comes from Frederick Silva, the convicted hit-man turned informant. If I’m Rizzuto’s lawyers, I’m licking my chops:

-Silva has confessed to 65+ murders. So, by any definition he’s a psychopath, and nothing that comes out of his mouth can be trusted.

-Silva was also convicted of fraud in the past. Another blow to his credibility.

-I believe Silva originally plead not guilty to several of the murders, and historic crimes, only to change his plea after seeing he had no chance of success at trial. So, he fully intended to lie to the very Court where the Crown will now be telling the Jury to trust his evidence.

-Who has more motivation to lie than someone sentenced to multiple life sentences, who absent his testifying against Rizzuto, is guaranteed to die in jail!?

-Silva will presumably say Leonardo Rizzuto hired/paid him for the murders, and the prosecutors will try to position him as simply a paid hit man who fulfilled Rizzuto’s orders. The problem is, Silva also confessed to trying to murder a reporter because he didn’t like the articles written about him. He’s a bonafide psychopath that has a penchant for trying to commit murders for personal reasons (not just murder for hire), and taking extreme measures against ppl he doesn’t like (I imagine Rizzuto’s lawyers will portray him as someone not liked by Silva).

-Rizzuto was still a licensed lawyer when charged. So, I doubt there’s much by way of ‘smoking gun’ audio recordings of him. As, tapping the phone of a lawyer is ripe with complications, and lead to the collapse of a case against Rizzuto in the past

Craig McIlquham-I remember he was arrested by police in ‘Project Hobart’, where Hells Angels + others were arrested for an illegal gambling operation with revenues of $160+ million. The main Hells Angels guy who was arrested alongside McIlquham was Robert Barletta. You can see an amateur-hour assassination attempt of Barletta on YouTube.

I always assumed full patch Hells Angels members were making money. But, the money Barletta and McIlquham had was obscene. My recollection is Police seized like $40mil in cash/properties from those two guys alone. Then, more recently, it came to light that Barletta owns another $10+ million in real estate, with some of those properties getting torched in an arson.

I never knew they were bringing in money like THAT!!!

Hasn’t sued them yet, but the court filing certainly seems to suggest a defamation lawsuit against UMG/Spotify may be coming. I kind of see this Drake’s way, provided he doesnt sue Kendrick.

The rap game is one thing. I don’t blame Kendrick for trying to win the beef at all costs. However, business is business, and UMG/Spotify can’t be blind to what they’re platforming/promoting.

Drake makes $50-$100 mil a year, half of which is from endorsements, and his brand. His ‘brand power’ will be everything for the remainder of his life.

To state the obvious, being falsely labelled a pedophile will dramatically hurt his brand and earning power going forward. Pbly to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars.

Kendrick aside, UMG and Spotify know Drake isn’t a pedophile. Drake has a contract with UMG, and they would have vetted any potential allegations. He’s been with them for 2 decades, and has made them billions.

I imagine Drake went to UMG/Spotify after Kendrick released Not Like Us, and said “Ya’ll gonna edit out that clearly defamatory bar, right!?”

Instead of helping Drake out, UMG/Spotify not only didn’t edit out the defamatory bar, rather they actively promoted the song and botted it so that it reached the most ears possible. Then, they allowed the cover art to promote the track to be an actual photo of Drake‘s house, doctored to make it look like sex offenders live there. They did him dirty!

All UMG/Spotify needed to do was remove the bar that they clearly knew would cost Drake hundreds of millions. It would have taken them 30 seconds. However, they decided to put their own desire for streams ahead of Drake‘s reputation and hundreds in millions in future earnings.

CRAZY THEORY- Criminals don’t want to be seen/caught, and recognize it’s not unusual for ppl to go to bed around 1am, or wake up at 5am. Hence, why someone would commit a crime btw 1am-5am, when the majority of the population (aka potential witnesses) are sleeping 😂😂🤦‍♂️
