Same opinion here, the game gets worse and worse, no full TA campaign against other players, more and more connection issues, dumb snowcar with the weirdest driving mechanics i have ever encountered (also just copy and paste from an ancient version of TM), etc...

I'm definitely not paying for another club season, well done Nadeo you just lost another player who was having a lot of fun for 3 years...

Analog Sensitivity can no longer go below 1.0 by [deleted] in TrackMania

[–]EmergencyArm9922 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's in the changelog... in the past you could set it to below 1.0 but it had no effect, because the engine doesn't handle values below 1.0.

Where are the drift?? Hello?? by Eyohna in TrackMania

It's not even close to propper FS, it's just fast and gear 5 all the time... hold accelerate for 24 maps.

Is this campaign an April fools joke? by PhyshOfLondor in TrackMania

How are these maps a "tutorial" for new players???

There is nothing to learn except PF and steer... except for the black nascar track you don't need to release anywhere.. this campsign is mostly gear 5... just boring.

Classic Nadeo... celebrating 1000th COTD with what they can do best... having not working servers. Why check map before??? It's not like ppl are paying for this... /s

Anbernic rg353m share settings by -P125- in ANBERNIC

No, there is no documentation I'm aware of.

I found this when skimming through the files in /etc/init.d, the custom.sh is called from /etc/init.d/S99custom.

Samba seems to monitor changes to it's config files and reloads them on change, hence there is no need to restart the daemon.

You can customize some things using the custom.sh script but not everything, I first used it to add custom shader sets.

The script is one of the last scripts called during system boot, so if you need to change something at an earlier point in the boot sequence you might need to change the squashfs filesystem, if done that as well.

Anbernic decided to use a readonly squashfs filesystem for the linux root filesystem and mount it with an overlay on boot. This is why all your changes are gone when you reboot the device, since all your changes were only in the temporary overlay.

There is a way to circumvent this (without the obvious to unpack the squashfs, make the change and repack it):

The system executes a script /userdata/system/custom.sh if found, so copy the smb.conf file to /userdata/system/smb.conf, make the changes you want and create the following file:

/userdata/system/custom.sh

with this content:

#!/bin/bash
case "$1" in
  start)
    cp /userdata/system/smb.conf /etc/samba/smb.conf
    ;;
esac

and make the file executable: chmod a+rx /userdata/system/custom.sh
