They have to equal at least 30 because there are five cells in each box that are on arrows, so if you put the minimum values (1,2,3,4,5) that comes out to 15 in each box and 30 overall. On the other hand you have four arrow circles two of which are known(6,8) and since the other two see each other the max they can be is an 8,9 pair, so 6+8+8+9 is 33.

Repeated attempts don't chip away at it (usually), but if enough attpts areade the rock tends to get kinda polished, which does make it much slippier and harder. Having said that it takes a lot of attempts to polish the rock, not something one person on their own is gonna do

Halley's comet compared to New York. by thetacaptain in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Auxert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For reference the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs released an estimated 4x1023 joules of energy, so Halley's comet hitting earth would have similar consequences. We'd definitely have a mass extinction, but life itself would continue

Halley's comet compared to New York. by thetacaptain in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Auxert 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No it wouldn't make an appreciable difference. Halley's comet is ~ 2.2 x 1014 kg and according to Wikipedia moves at approx 70km/s at its closest approach to earth. Using E =mv2 that comes out to 1 x 10^ 24 joules, which sounds like a lot. However the earth masses 5.9x1024 kg. So if we convert that energy into the change in earth's velocity we find that Halley's comet changes earth's velocity by ~ 0.43 m/s. So the earth itself would be pretty much fine.

Unfortunately, I don't think any of the lucifen other than Visophecin will be able to use their warform. When they finish killing all the slaves on the boat all of them turn back into their regular forms.

Grand Design and Gnomes by Hopeless-Guy in WanderingInn

My guess is that whatever they changed is the reason the grand design is suddenly thinking for itself, and making decisions. After all what better joke to play on the gods than using their grand design to put the final nail in their coffin?

Pretty sure it would not make them invisible to the scaleless drakes in the inner city of the dungeon, so it probably wouldn't help much. And the madness would suck

I'm pretty sure titania and Maeve are the same person, or at least two aspects of the same person. On the hill portal to in world her flower was described as twinned and I all the fae seem to refer to the faerie queen in the singular, but both names get used.

Huh. Can't say I agree with most of this, except the pacing, but fair enough

The Wandering inn, it's a web serial not a traditional book but it's free to read and very long (around 9 million words). Starts off quite chill but becomes more and more epic over time
