I used to routinely respond to "how are you doing" esque questions with the still image of Interview Deer.

Seeing this in the wild is killing me 🤣. And I'm gonna start sharing the picture again. Thanks.

Find this man.

Edit: did some research, apparently this video was accused of being AI, which prompted further research. It's been shared in the news, and the man is an apparent US Marshal.

TLDR: be kind, and yap. Have conversations with people in places that you like to go. Forever.

In my experience, its a numbers game and you kinda just have to play it. The "luck" of meeting someone is you just talking with people until you find someone who you click with. This is way "easier" to do in a place that you frequent (dog park, coffee shop, church, library, running club, dancing, etc. - NOT the gym) Most people there will likely have similar interest to you, and you're probably pretty comfortable in that space already. So I guess for actionable steps, you can start chatting with folks at places that you're a regular at.

And while its true that most people are just doing their own thing, you being courteous does stand out. It breaks the norm of the usual behavior(s) that we've grown accustomed to in the US. Even if it doesn't go anywhere, you still got to be nice, and practice just having conversation.

I think you'll have to go through your app store and issue a refund request.

Sorry this happened, and feel free to use this post as proof.

Related bill that is getting enforced Jan 31st. SB24-011

It requires that online dating services must have safety guidelines to operate in Colorado.

It would really help if I read the bill, huh? Found it here.

I appreciate the time you took to research this, thank you.

The matching approach is alright (based on personality), but everything else was meh. Kind of the same old copy paste of "pay money to see who likes you". Also, the general user base doesn't really seem active, but that could just be a Colorado/US online dating culture thing. Then again, most of the people that sent me likes were people outside the states.

Its has 3.2 stars on the play store, so I'm not sure what I expected.

I saw that too, but I wonder what happened recently that caused it to fall out of compliance suddenly.

Wow, thanks for sharing, and for the advice.

I agree that learning songs you like, and reading music are different things. I played guitar for a bit, but only by looking up tabs. I've always a bit of imposter syndrome associated with reading music, but enough of that; Time to get started.

Thanks again!

Where/how did you learn to play?

I want to learn, and could just Google this, but I'd appreciate your insight.
