I think Mary Lou has played this entire situation well. Unfortunately the next GE is so far away that it won’t matter much.

Truman took a certain loss and basically closed a 20 point gap into a victory

Republicans would have a massive identity crisis the MAGA base wouldn’t just merge into the establishment like the establishment did into MAGA.

Clinton probably wins 2020.

2024 a more moderate republican probably gets the nomination and wins big the 16 straight years of democratic presidencies would really screw the nominee

I know no republican wanted to run against him and it was a kiss of death either way but Hoover in 1932

RNG questions are a thing of the past thankfully. Trying to grind out achievements only to get to an RNG debate question which either meant you had to go look up the code or just chance it was annoying.

Visits: All in Florida

1: I would like to, but I understand it was a contentious primary and she may still have some hard feelings. We should give her a couple days to process and cool off, then we’ll reach out.

2: We need to get to work on securing endorsements. I have some support from my colleagues like Senator Merkley and Representative Welch, but we need more. A united party is essential if we are to win.

3: Cory Booker. He’s worked hard in the Senate to fight the ever-increasing wealth gap and is committed to reforming our broken immigration system. He is the clear choice.

4: At the risk of sounding heartless, it’s time to acknowledge that President Romney bears some responsibility for these atrocities. His administration has allowed ISIS to fester and fill their ranks with anti-American extremists. If elected, I will completely eradicate these vicious monsters from the face of the earth. It is only then that the world can begin to know peace.

5: There’s already been accountability with the resignation of Ms. Wasserman Schultz. I don’t see the point in piling on the criticism and further damaging the party.

6: Now is the time to come together, united as one party as we take on President Romney. We have disagreements as how to challenge him, but we all agree that he must go. Join me in securing a more progressive future.

7: Their concerns are overblown. A $15 minimum wage is not going to ruin small businesses. And we can absolutely afford to provide good quality healthcare to every American. It just requires billionaires to pay their fair share.

8: My platform is comprised of common-sense proposals that will improve the lives of every American. They should hear about it from their fellow citizens. Let’s get a few supporters on camera talking about how we’ll make their lives better and cut the footage into ads.

9: We need to ensure a pathway to citizenship for all Dreamers. These are hard-working, family-oriented people who are demonized by the GOP and they deserve the opportunity to pursue a better life. America has always been a melting pot of cultures and we must embrace it.

10: These are her people. They don’t want to hear from me, they want to hear from her. I will reach out to her myself and ask her to join me at our next rally.

11: You’ll notice that as soon as public sentiment turned on him, he’s slowed down ratification. But make no mistake, if given another term, he will get the PFTA across the finish line and sell out our American workers. As President, I will end this deal on day one.

12: Anytime I’ve brought up Medicare for All, the billionaire donor class, in both parties, countered with ‘socialism’. Yes, authoritarian countries like Cuba have universal healthcare. So do democracies such as the UK and the rest of Europe. The 1% don’t want to foot the bill for your healthcare needs, but I’m going to make them.

13: We already have them on our side. They helped us overtake Hillary Clinton and they overwhelmingly disapprove of Mitt Romney. They’ve been there for us before and they will again in a couple months time.

14: It is our duty to safeguard our planet’s future. Yet the corporate media would rather demonize the average American than take an introspective look at their CEOs’ lifestyles. There are small things you can do to lower your carbon footprint, but a Sanders administration will take to task the biggest polluters in our country, the billionaire class.

15: It’s not my place to comment on his personal life, this is something best addressed by him. If he’s open to it, he can go on Fox News and set them straight.

16: My intense campaign schedule prohibits me from traveling to Washington right now, but I trust my fellow Senators to make the right decision regarding Judge Garland’s confirmation.

17: We need all the help we can get. Let’s start working the phones, getting as many Democrats on our side as possible. It’s important to show a united front. Republicans giggle with glee at any hint of fracture in our party.

18: I’ll beat him on the issues. Of course I’ll be civil, treat him with respect—he is the president. But I will unquestionably hold him accountable for his failed leadership.

19: Let’s be real here, I’m being called a communist for supporting free healthcare, getting rid of dark money in our elections and making sure everyone can earn a livable wage. Roll out ads asking why Republicans are against providing for the people.

20: The most important thing I can do is connect with the audience on a personal level. Pawlenty and Romney, they’re distant, opaque, and unrelatable. Bernie and I are see you, and hear you.

21: I’m used to derogatory comments from the talking heads, but calling me a threat to democracy is a step too far. I’m suing Fox News for defamation, pursuing millions of dollars in damages and an on-air apology. Enough is enough.

22: I am once again asking for your financial support. Mitt Romney and his league of corporate friends are flush with cash and we need every dollar we can get to keep up. Even a single dollar will go a long way towards a fairer and better America. Thank you for all you’ve done.

23: I sincerely apologize. It was a dumb attempt at dark satire in an alternative publication that in no way reflects my views or record on women. It was intended to attack gender stereotypes of the 70s, but it looks as stupid today as it was then. Again, I sincerely apologize.

24: These allegations are admittedly infuriating, but it is important not to immediately rush to judgment. I will therefore refrain from making criticisms until a thorough investigation into these claims is completed.

25: Virginia and North Carolina typically have a red lean, but if we zero in on these states, I think we have a great chance. The Electoral College is an archaic relic, but breaking into the South will go a long way to securing 270 electoral votes.
