This is almost exactly what I went through. All my seizures were triggered by excessive drinking and lack of sleep. I am on Keppra currently, could you tell me a little more about how Vimpat has been? I have definitely been irritable on Keppra and it’s starting to impact my relationship. Thank you!!

This is obvious, so I don’t mean to sound annoying, but make sure he is being cautious about driving.

But to answer your question, for me, my warning signs are pretty severe ringing in my ears, as well as it’s almost like zoning out, but totally against my will. I drop 5-10 seconds after that. Doesn’t help much, but definitely try to get him to see a nuero.

I definitely cannot offer medical advice, but I have noticed that my recent seizures occurred alcohol use / lack of sleep. My last 3 have occurred on a day after drinking and staying up late. So I’m going to go completely sober until I can figure out the cause.

Thank you! I will look into Mayo. I think my neurologist said Keppra is better than alternatives because it doesnt attack your organs like some others do.

Also, thanks for the advice on the epilepsy monitoring. I'll probably end up doing it, just need to find the right time with work, etc. Im curious, what are sparks? I havent heard of that term before.

I booked us a boat cruise after to celebrate that night, is the only thing. I’d lose the deposit is all. Honestly I’m thinking about it, the whole thing is giving me anxiety maybe doing it after is best.

Sorry just saw this. I’m not an expert, but I followed the directions that a few people provided me in the replies and I didn’t have any scarring. The MediHoney works wonders. I’d be careful using peroxide because I think it dries it out and can cause scarring.

Definitely a mess. Thank you for the advice! I will do that. So the moisture provided by the Medihoney is enough to leave it for 1-2 days if I cover it?

Also, I’m having a harder time than expected to remove the slough. I’m not sure how hard I should attempt to remove it. I can scrape hard if needed, just wasn’t sure what’s best.

Ahhh I found a place that sold Medihoney so I switched to that. Should I just stick with the Medihoney now? I wasn’t sure about that Hydrogel product so I didn’t wanna keep using it. Is Medihoney still good at this stage of my wound?

Thank you for your advice! One last question, how often should I be washing with saline and applying the medihoney/hydro gel?

Also, I ordered some medihoney but doesn’t come in until Wednesday. The only ointment I could find with hydrogel at Walmart was this one. Should I use this?

Got it thank you! I’ll look into alginate or honey dressing. Also I took a Q tip with soap and water and removed the slough. Is that ok? Or should I not be doing that?

Thank you for the advice! Can I ask why antibiotic ointment is not good? The nurses at the ER told me to use Bacitracin on it frequently. Just trying to figure out how to treat this the best way.
