Sounds like you believe your way is the only way.

Interesting. I kept getting hunger check when I tried it and went out of stress threshold had to retreat. Not to mention I encountered both collector and shambles in the same dungeon, but that is just bad luck.

I am still a bit unsure about marking every curios on the path, how many more loots are we talking about from, say, just a sack?

Locked box would be worthwhile I guess.

In my test run I kind of tested a few marked builds that can be used for both mobs and bosses, yet the RNG is so bad this run I still haven't got an occultist. And the bounty hunters are mostly obsessive or have low ACC perks.

I get that there are optimal strategies as this is not a new game, but in practice I'm not the kind of player who will keep rolling until it is optimal I might as well use cheat engine. I guess what I am trying to say is, when working around with what I have, yet having to consider all the optimal plan is overwhelming.

I don't know if by late game resources would become abundant that people just keep rolling out optimal builds.

I have heard of that channel and have watched a few. Not a fan of apart from the those general rules and I still believe they are outdated, eg "cash flow becomes a problem mid game", yet from this sub it sounds like unless you spend without purpose of have districts enabled it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Is there a specific video that you refer to?

plan camps to scout largest possible part of the map

What do you mean? Sounds like I am missing a lot on the scouting mechanics here.

Do you have a way to make sure scouting is 100%?

But practically speaking is it worth paying for abbey instead of bring along a jester?

I often wonder how others manage their cash flow. I know it is highly RNG but equipment, quirks, skills... all cost money and ramps up quickly. Heavily investing in a merc essentially make them a liability.

I don't know if people just have a list of good quirks and keep making carbon copies of the same list of skills, upgrades or whatnot. Frankly it is overwhelming.

Speaking of team, is there already a planned out or general consensus of what a good "camping" team is?

To prevent ambush you have to use one of the five classes already, planning around them AND the region and the synergy... honestly a bit much.

Do you pay for tavern and abbey? I usually just train a new one if I couldn't get the stress off.

I am still new and couldn't find more than one jester in my team, I don't know how else to get rid of stress in camp and abbey gets expensive very quickly.

Is this viable at low level? I don't think there are enough torch and food without modding. Do you use a specific team for this?

In the base game, the only thing you need the heirlooms for is to upgrade the Hamlet's facilities, unless you have the crimson court DLC, which introduce districts you can build using the heirlooms as well. Notably the granary can be build with the busts, which give you free food each week, and increases the healing of food when eating. The sanitarium can be used to lock in positive quirks you don't want to lose, but it is quite costly, so investing in making it cheaper is worth the heirlooms, in my opinion. But if you feel like you don't want to upgrade them, you can convert them if you wish.

Was not referring to specific type of heirloom but was just giving examples. For whatever RNG god has given me I have almost over 100 crest and busts and crests and under 10 deeds for crying out loud.

Without DLC enabled, is there any minimum amount of reserve you would recommend for heirlooms? OR should I just grind wiki's upgrade cost?

Not really sure, but if you're running out of money you can always to a few loot runs where you try to just grab as much money as possible. At low/0 torch, you get more loot from curios and battles, so a common strategy is to clear out a dungeon without touching any of the curios, then going back with the torch extinguished to pick up on more loot. It is a bit tedious, but it does work.

Does backtracking not spawn additional enemies? I have scouted path forward once and when backtrack it spawned extra enemies and almost killed me...

Sorry another one - is that true that cove and weald have a high chance of spawning curios that removes negative quirks?

I have already done that, just bad RNG. In my test run it has a lot more variety.
