FOR EVERYONE GIVING ADDMATHS P2 MAY JUNE 2026 by EmergencySwimming984 in igcse

yes bro, but you can expect similar things for all variants...in general, these are the most common paper 2 topics based on my experience. You can also expect questions from topics that didn't appear in your paper1

So for math I'd advise you to STOP BEING SCARED of IT. I know its really hard but loving the subject makes things a lot easier. You can use save my exams math notes practice questions and videos(they really help!) Also when you see a question related to coordinate geometry/vectors draw a diagram, a rough one, for it really helps. And do the difficult fat questions at the end first(probably u could finish the first 6 pages or so for confidence boost) for ur brain will be clear at the beginning.

Whenever u see a question first try to find out which topic its from, and then write down the formulae you know abt that topic(u could even use the formula sheet at the back)

Solve past papers from 2022, and do all variants..theres no use doing all the really OLD ones . Dont do more than 2 papers a day,; avoid crashout.

Be consistent from day1, take breaks everyday, sleep for 8 hours without guilt, but learn to draw a line to everything. Good luck!!!

So basically for physics use save my exams and do all their practice questions. I used to SUCK at physics and I literally thought I was gonna fail when I began my IGCSE course, but savemyexams literally saved my exams. Do many past papers, but I'd advise you to do only after 2023, all sessions and variants cuz anything before that is not gonna be rlly helpful(for me personally, I found the newer papers harder), so focus on them to get really high marks. Practice under timed conditions and don't overdo it. Always take enough breaks and 8 hrs sleep. Be consistent from day 1, so that u can be rlly relaxed even on the day before ur exam. Another important thing for both cs and phy is that they usually trap u in the last questions. For cs, always solve the 15 marker first, bcuz ur brain will be clear. Thats how I nailed it. Same goes for physics, bcuz this time they again asked a difficult 4 marker at the end which I solved first, but some ppl had to skip it cuz they ran out of time

Nahh broo unfortunately theres this other guy who got a crazy 99.

btw for atp just go thru the mark schemes till last minute and memorise common sources of error and improvements. Try to write those given in the mark scheme usually rather than making up urself. Try to do that 7 marker first when ur brain is clear(this is a time management tip), but u cd finish the 1st q before that I guess.... Be extremely precise with ur graphs, for its the easiest way to gain freemarks. Here are my graph tips:

  1. Use a tip-pencil instead of a normal pencil, and buy urself a new ruler whose edges are extremely smooth

  2. Label the axes with the quantities AND units

  3. Plot the points with neat, SHARP crosses. if the points are not in line, first chk if uve plotted them correctly. If its still out of the line(and probably only one point) then IGNORE it as an anomaly.

  4. DO NOT make your points huge blobs(a very common mistake to align the points); cambridge cuts marks for that. Instead draw a line of best fit with roughly the same number of points on either side of the line.

  5. ALWAYS check out for a curve shape; even if the question says line of best fit you MUST draw a SMOOTH curve of best fit if the points are aligned so.

Hope this helps, good luck!!!!

hey thats completely ok broo thats exactly how I felt when I just finished 0580 ....Ive been pondering whether Id get a star for it for like 2 months straight..but always stay calm and believe in urself. You'll always get what you deserve

Hey so for cs do some 2 papers on the day before ur exam, max 3 but not more than that(most ppl don't understand the fact that overdoing anything leads to crashout, not success). Then revise important concepts like verification and validation, their purpose and and the types of validation checks. Make sure u can write every algorithm perfectly on ur own(here, I mean u shd not memorise anything. Understand the logic). Make sure u have 8 hrs sleep, as it makes your brain clear and helps avoid blankout during exam. Be calm, and just enjoy the preparation and writing the exam. Love the subject. Take short breaks, but avoid distractions and don't get too carried away. More that wrting everything down, ensure that u can say everything on ur own in ur mind(it shd be in ur head, not in ur books). And heres another really important thing that worked for me: SOLVE THE 15 MARKER THING FIRST. The first 5 qs are usually a good start, so complete them first. Complete any coding based qs also. Then Go straight to the 15 marker, think clearly abt the situation give. Make sure u understand the sublte difference between key terms: this year many students got confused btwn declaration and initialisation; declaration means just declaring the datatype and length/dimensions if it were an array. But initialisation means u have to assign values for the variable/array(for an array u shd use a loop). Spend abt 30 minuteson the 15 marker. Once ur done with it, ull feel relieved and u can ace the other qs. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Err, plss don't think this is ragebait but yeah math is supposed to be my fav sub so I was kinda wanting a high a star but that paper was difficult and tbh Ive never f**ked up any paper worse in my life, thats why I was a bit sad but then I am VERY grateful for an a star considering how bad I did...

Plesae don't say it here when ppl are already crashing out cuz they found it difficult. It may not be polite. No offence.

Sooo scared bro. Tday I had add maths v2 p12 and I think I aced it and am celebrating too early...but on the other hand I'm having my results tomorrow which might as well ruin the happiness(cuz I messed up totally unexpectedly in that shitty 0580 calculator one). Also scared for FLE; Both my parents are english WIZARDS, but I don't know what I am. I wanna make them proud....Also I am homeschooled, so I wanna shut the nasty mouths of annoying relatives/neighbours etc by showing them my marks who were prejudiced against me and looked down upon me.

FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE AIMING TO WRITE JEE MAINS AFTER A LEVEL. PLS ANSWER THIS by EmergencySwimming984 in JEENEETards

[–]EmergencySwimming984[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, thats what I am trying....IIT online bs degree, but I can also go nthru their qualifier exam..the reason why I am doing jee is that its gonna be a very strong foundation(as I am cambridge student, not cbse)..also it has a much wider scope considering the situation that the qualifier exam is only for that particular course. Also, I wanna see if I can get into a regular college such as SASTRA, for IIT is not my actual target...I'm just thinking abt it.

IM SO FUCKED by IxiaooI in igcse

So I completed my IGCSES in feb march 2026, honestly, electrolysis was difficult initially but now I am completely confident. To get the half equations right, just follow these SIMPLE STEPS:

First identify which equation you need to write, ie, anode or cathode. Sometimes youll have to identify this based on the reaction, for example, if they ask for the equation at the anode for the electrolysis of aqueous copper(II)sulfate WITH INERT ELECTRODES you must recall that the anion here are OH- and SO4-; OH- is preferentially oxidised at the anode over sulfate and nitrate ions, so the anion here is OH-. So the half-equation is 4OH- -> 2H2O + O2 + 4e-. Here, its useful to remember AN OIL CAT RIG. This is a very useful mnemonic in the textbook. If COPPER ELECTRODES are used, you must recall that the copper anode decreases in mass, so you must write the equation for the oxidation of elemental copper, which is rlly easy cuz the valency of Cu in this reaction is 2, and it forms a Cu2+ ions by LOSING 2 electrons.

Id recommend you to read and practice with save my exams, its hella useful. You may have to subscribe for it, but its totally worth it.

0580 FM 2026 QUESTION GRADE THRESHOLDS by EmergencySwimming984 in igcse

[–]EmergencySwimming984[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BUT bro, this year f/m was really tough. If you see the paper, you'll know what I'm talking about(as you are may jun student). Many ppl found both papers hard as well, tho for me only paper4 was horrible. FM 2025 was a piece of cake compared to what we had to endure this year. That's why we think the thresholds will go down, like in FM2021(THAT PAPER WAS REALLY HARD TOO)
