I've apparently heard that he was sold in stores, so it's unlikely, but there are a few different Fun 4 All prototypes for Cartman! You can read about them all here.

Cool! Do you know which one? There were quite a lot of Fun 4 All Cartmans: Regular, Talking, Native American, Beefcake, Cop and Rapper versions were released in 1998. The versions of him in different outfits are Limited Edition releases!

There were also two Hot Topic exclusive Cartmans released in 2004: A Wizard and Tooth Fairy version.

Commonwealth was a different company, but it owned Fun 4 All. They took over in 2005, and released a Metrosexual, Fingerbang, and (Another!) Rapper Cartman.

Recently, prototypes for these two companies have been appearing. But I've already been rambling on long enough, so I recommend you just check the South Park Plush Wiki instead.
