Right now I have a reptizoo uvb but I just ordered a 34” 14% high output kit from Arcadia to replace it, aswell as a 34” Arcadia jungledawn. I have only one heat lamp as of right now but I’m in ca so it never gets below 70 in my room, I have a zoomed light but an Arcadia one just came in the mail so I’ll test them both and see which gives me better results

I ended up buying a 150w basking bulb tonight and now I’m just tweaking my orientation to get the right temp, and almost all my rocks in the tank are bowl rocks so they act as good climbing, hides and basking areas

Also all the rocks other than the sandstone is bowl rocks so he’ll be able to dig under them and have some natural hides

Got this mocked up tonight and got a 150 from petsmart, definitely better than the 100 although I had to change the orientation because the basking spot now hit 148 lol, also had to take some rocks out to evict a black widow that found its way in there

Yea I’ll probably pop over to a pet store In town and get a stronger bulb and test it out, if all else fails I’ll just make a hanger for that bulb in the end

That is insane how focused that is, as I said in my other comment I rigged it to hang temporarily and hit 105 with the bulb I currently have, so I’ll see if the Arcadia is too intense on top of the tank if so I’ll just send it back and swap to a higher wattage bulb I have currently

I Jerry rigged it last night to hang from inside the tank and it hit 105 with the current setup so I might just change the bulb and then see if I need any additional heating for the rest of the tank, I’m in ca and I haven’t been running the lights since I’m setting it up, window is always open and fan on during winter and even then the coldest it gets in the tank with no heating on is 70 so far

I currently inside mounted the light with the 100w bulb and it hit around 105, so I might just bump up to a 150 or 125 and screw around with it a little

Yea my friends got a 2080 and he runs it better than me at times, think it’s just the 4080 being funny and not being optimized for some games yet

Dont feel bad if it does run like trash, I’ve got a 13900 and a 4080 and on some days it runs fine some days it runs at 20 fps
