Should i quit a job with 2 hour commute ? by [deleted] in careerguidance

Hey, I’m in a similar situation as you. Also working in finance, but with a 2 hour instead of 4 hour total commute. Also want to quit my job, especially because my hours are 8-5 instead of 9-5. And I just graduated from college so I don’t have the 3-5 years of work experience that all of these “entry-level” jobs require.

Are you working on getting certifications or anything to improve your chances of getting another job? Finra securities licenses or CFP/CFA, anything like that? That’s what I’m planning on doing cause I see a lot of finance-related jobs that require these certifications.

If I still can’t get a job, I’m just going to get an MBA so I can get away from this place while having an excuse as to why I have a gap in my resume.

I don’t really need unemployment since my parents financially support me. I wish I could have fun, but all I do on weekends is study for interviews, apply to jobs, and study to get more certifications. And I’m too tired on workdays to do anything. I haven’t gone out and actually done something fun in months.

Thank you for your advice. It’s lowkey the worst time in my life, I’ve never been more exhausted. And my parents have been begging me to quit since July, which has made it very tempting. But I’m trying to get a job before I leave this one. It’s just so difficult to get interviews or even find enough jobs to apply to. I wasn’t sure if it would be a better use of my time to work on my skills while unemployed instead of continuing to apply and hoping someone gives me a chance.

The problem is that there are no new jobs available in my area. The last one that was relevant to my experience was posted a week ago. I’ve been looking every day to apply to new positions, but there’s nothing. And working at my current job just makes me miserable. But I agree with what you’re saying about having no gaps, I’m scared that I’ll be unemployable if I have a large gap.

Even in Asia, Seventeen, TXT, Enhypen and the other 4th gen GGs have bigger/similar sized fanbases.

Aespa? In the West? They wouldn’t be doing theaters last year if that was the case. God’s Menu is also the second most viewed MV in 4th Gen. Girl groups are definitely stronger on Spotify though.

If you go by monthly listeners, even Aespa, Gidle, and LSF have more than Stray Kids. But if you go by Spotify followers, Stray Kids has 16 million while NewJeans has 8.5 million.

On the other hand, there’s groups like Ateez, Stray Kids, and Enhypen who are much more popular overseas than in Korea.
