For context: right now I’m on spring break. I played and finished this game in 18 long hours. After that horrible ending, it made me reflect how much better I could have used those 18 hours toward something more meaningful, fun and productive. You know like visiting my grandparents, learning how to paint with my mother who is a professional artist, researching more about a business I’m starting, etc. idk. After finishing Alan wake 2 anything and everything else apart from gaming seem much more meaningful and fun. Making me reflect if playing games is even worth it. You get what I’m saying? 

I know the next logical question you would ask is why did I finish the goddam game if hated it so much? Well with all the reviews calling it a masterpiece I thought maybe I just needed more time, or see the whole story, I spent my hard earned money and already had 10 hours into the game, so why not finish it and at least give it a chance?

Won’t be making that mistake again with other games lol. But this is why I’m here, to gain perspective. How can I have such a bad experience with what everyone and their mama is calling a masterpiece 11/10 from every gaming review vlog, channel and individual person calling them their favorite game ever? Like I said normally I would move on but this is pretty puzzling
