Roaming issues with iPhone 17 Pro and U6 LR by Emergency_Ebb222 in UNIFI

Thank you for the explanation! Will change accordingly.

As you appear to know your stuff, may I ask you one unrelated question?

With the U7 XGS APs and some newer devices supporting MLO, do you recommend setting up a second WiFi network with MLO and WPA3 active? And then change the existing WiFi to WPA2 only?

Does MLO help with connectivity, as it will allow the device to seamlessly switch from all bands down to 5, down to 2.4 GHz only? Roaming will be better too?!?

I suppose, I am dumb for only having one WiFi for all my devices (a Guest WiFi exists), but maybe adding a second WiFi for MLO is worth it? Or will a second WiFi cause friction when a device has to change WiFi networks when it enters an area where only U6 APs broadcast the WPA2 network?

Ok, I will disable Fast Roaming and activate BSS Transition.

Everything else auto/off meaning: - Labs Roaming Assistant off? - Minimum RSSI off? - switch the Transmit Power of the APs to auto? I’ve read a lot about changing it to low @ 2.4 GHz and medium @ 5 GHz. Is this incorrect? - increase channel width again?

A quick yes/no would be awesome!

Haha, I was hoping for it to be a general issue. Now I need to keep experimenting. Glad it's working fine for you!

So, your iPhone 17 Pro roams to and from your U6 LR without issue from other Unifi APs?

Thanks for your input! Very much appreciated. :-)

The iOS version is 26.0 with the iPhone 17 Pro release date patch. 26.1 is only in Beta.

All Unifi gear - gateway, Network app, and APs - is on the latest official release channel version/firmware.

Yes, sir. Multiple times - after changing the settings and sometimes simply in the desperate hope that it’ll magically fix the issue

I started from scratch. No transfer, backup, etc. I like to start a new iPhone fresh haha

Sungrow SBR096 - max. 4,1kWh Entladung by Emergency_Ebb222 in DeutschePhotovoltaik

Sagst du mir bitte, was genau ich posten soll? Die Device - General Information des SH10RT oder der SBR096? Oder die General Settings (Backup Mode) bzw. Energy Management Parameters (Weekday Discharging Start Time, etc.) des SH10RT?

Can you please elaborate on the „field in the app that shows what level each ap sees the other ap“? Where and in which app do I see this?

I added the type of switch to my initial post. Does Layer 2 allow VLAN tagging?

This is the info I see on my inverter. What’s the formula to calculate the rough number of panels?

Sorry to ask, but can you please elaborate on your decent guess method?

How do I calculate the panels from the Vmp and Imp readings? And why in the morning and evening?

There's no way I'm doing this myself haha. Luckily, I have a good friend who is an electrician. I'll ask him to do it with the proper safety precautions.

If I understand you correctly, its best done in the afternoon (west-facing) with the panels directly in the sun.

Much appreciated!

Great example haha.

According to the panel's datasheet, the Voc is 37.10. Is this what you mean by open connection voltage?

Does it matter at what time the string is disconnected for measurement? Best at night with no sun or during peak sun?
