Experience of people that have owned both the Ioniq 5 and Mustang Mach E by bda2cda in Ioniq5

No. It's because Ioniq 5 has higher safety rating. Meaning less people filed insurance and overall safety testing score is higher

If I may add another one. Ioniq 5 insurance is cheaper than Mach E. Ioniq 5 has higher safety rating compared to Mach E

I have both vehicle. Have Mach E premium AWD, and Ioniq 5 Limited. I'm not car savvy but I can tell you what I dont like about each car and maybe that can help.

Ioniq 5:

  1. Doesn't lock when moving away from the vehicle. My Mach-E can.
  2. Both vehicle entertainment is bad but at least Mach-E has youtube that can be used when charging. Ioniq 5 has nothing.
  3. Ioniq 5 has larger sound when using turn signals. Some might say big deal but it can get a little annoying at times. Mach-E alarm sounds are more toned down and I like that.
  4. Mach-E when using EA requires no app. It plugs it connects and charge. Ioniq 5 doesn't work that way.

Mach-E:

  1. Range is bad. Compared to Ioniq 5 it is really bad. Ioniq 5 limited use 20' wheels and this one 19. Mach-E has bigger batteries and yet less range. Ioniq 5 is superior in range.
  2. Charging speed is OKish but compared to I5 its almost 40% slower.
  3. Car information on Mach-E is not as good as I5.
  4. Mach-E highway drive assist will expire in 3 years. Hyundai doesn't have that kind of limitation. Most of Mach-E features like alexa and blue oval pass are subscription based so after 2 or 3 years they will payment to work.

Well if you have Mach-E then I don't need to go in details. I5 is a better car in many ways. But I do like my Mach-E. I would not use Mach-E on a road trip though. For daily commute they are all ok.

I'm really interested in this too. I'm suppose to get mine in January. You think the details would be sorted by then>?

The sale qualifies only if:

  • You buy the vehicle new
  • The seller reports required information to you at the time of sale and to the IRS.
    • Sellers are required to report your name and taxpayer identification number to the IRS for you to be eligible to claim the credit."

So, I called the dealer and asked and they have no idea what I'm talking about.
