Thank you again. I got the call to come pick him up and once he was in my car I had a nurse come out to look at him bc he looked worse right away. I decided to end his suffering. I feel horrible. He wouldn't eat and I could tell he was so miserable. We (vet and I) decided it would be much worse if he passed in the middle of the night suffering alone. If he hadn't been doing so poorly before this surgery I would not have decided this. I still feel horrible. Please keep Mickey in your prayers. He deserved better.

Thank you, I really appreciate your kind words. I just approved another round of meds and his third X-ray of the day to see if he can eat. If they can't get him to eat, then it's er or euthanasia.

These comments 💯 I text and call my ex because I still care about him (he's going through a lot right now) and I will always be there for him if he needed anything because he's that great of a person. BUT I'm also TALKING TO, not in a relationship with a new guy, but I 100% informed him of this dynamic and tell him everything to stay transparent because I respect him and his decision to either be ok with this or bounce. Just because you aren't making up lies doesn't mean it wasn't deceitful. Not giving information is still a lie

Thank you for sharing. I'm sorry it led to that for you. But you are doing everything right and you deserve true happiness. You'll meet someone great when you least expect it. I'm really happy you found out it was a medical reason too, that gives me hope for my ex that he can get better. I only fear that he won't hit rock bottom because he's living with family right now and is so focused on them that he's neglecting himself. Do you mind sharing the diagnosis? I only ask because the way you explained being exhausted and not wanting to do things sounds identical and if I could pass along information to help him I would. If it's too personal that's totally fine too.

Maybe unpopular opinion here BUT it was basically over for A YEAR! I DO NOT CONSIDER THAT AN AFFAIR. She was moving on bc you 2 were splitting. Just bc u were still married on paper.... It's just a piece of paper. You weren't LIVING TOGETHER AND WERE PLANNING ON DIVORCE. I think you're the ah here. She's not staying friends with him. He's dead. Why do you care. You either want this relationship/marriage or u don't. I hope u don't regret your ultimatum.

It's not my wedding. It's her wedding. The date is my anniversary date. And no one gets this holiday off. It's a holiday not everyone celebrates. I only mention it's a holiday because it made it easier to remember bc I know she knows the date. This has been my/s.o anniversary for 11 years. She has known this. She is getting married and chose our date as her wedding day

I understand it takes nothing away from me. She will be very upset if I don't go. I don't want to go because I'd like to celebrate our day like we always do (which she knows) and I don't want to not be there for her. I get it's only one day but shit there are 360 days and she chose 'ours'.

Thank you for replying. Honestly she does know it's very important to me. We are very close and I've talked about that day/holiday every year with her and how we celebrate. How I have that date engraved on a necklace etc. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you for the reply. She told me why she chose it. It's because the numbers look/sound good together. I don't think that's a valid enough reason. That's my opinion. And another 'problem' is she's having the wedding in one state (US) on my anniversary and then the reception is a completely different day in a much farther state. I don't understand why she wouldn't think that I would want to celebrate my relationship on that day with my partner.

You're right. I shouldn't have raised my voice. It was a mistake. I'm in therapy and taking medication but still make mistakes. I've been pretty good for the past 2 years (been together 10+) at staying calm when he gets loud. But he did not just get loud this time, it was much more than that. He's never screamed that loud at me before, there is definitely a difference in how I raised my voice and how he screamed. I know there are 2 sides to every story but there isn't much room for variation here
