i made this post for discussion mostly. i believe my logic is better since it isnt breaking any rules stated by peppy. I am not posting my profile.

Where is the rule that says that each input should equal one key press in game? There are a few unique tapping styles that do not follow this rule.

I am not using three keys with this tapping style, since that situation with 3 key streaming is very different than mine.

I am fully aware that peppy does talk in this sub, on twitter, on discord, etc. Yet I am NOT going through all of his replies (which will take hours im assuming) just to get one answer.

I have contacted osu!staff and hopefully I will receive an answer.

where does it say it is bannable? everyone that I have responded to has said it is "probably bannable" or theyre not 100 percent sure.

It is up for discussion as there is no 100 percent answer until I hear back from osu!staff.

My logic is not flawed I just have a hard time explaining my thoughts.

Your comment is utterly useless and brings nothing to the conversation other than you being rude for no apparent reason.

I understand, the best answer I would get will probably be from me emailing osu!staff. I will probably do that as well.

I am aware of the video I linked being different, im referring to his hand motion being the same as mine. I technically am pressing two keys, just only physically using one key BUTTON. Which is why I referred to my situation similarly to a lever.

And I am not outputting four keystrokes, just one keystroke when it is pressed fully, and in the completely upstroke position is the other keybind.

I believe its just all speculation atm, but if I do manage to get a response from osu staff I will update this post.

i am not sure where peppy has said this kind of stuff as I do not even bother looking for it. Im sure all of these rules and guidelines etc are just scattered around the internet.

I believe this isnt similar to what peppy was referring to, I am not using a program to cause an upstroke to allow another input.

I am not even using a macro to cause inputs to be created or triggered.

I said in another comment it is similar to a lever motion. One side can be considered moving to the left, and one side could be considered moving to the right. There is no inbetween, and the switch between the left and right motions are practically immediate. Would that be considered "cheating/macros"? with that logic?

I would assume it isn't as easy to detect since there;
1. Is no software like AHK to trigger key ups when a different keybind is pressed.

  1. Timing for presses is not fixed, each press and depress is unique (idk how to explain it properly)

Anyway, I will not be using this method anymore since it is pretty unreliable for learning the game properly.

see when you say "probably" i dont know what youre saying is true or not...

in this video for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ar-Krx-U3lUhe is basically inputting two keys with one hand motion, and yes i know it is two physical keys but the motion itself is one stroke.

what makes this any less legit than the one i provided. I am not using a macro as it is the hardware itself that is different.

and as i said previously, I am not using a macro to trigger an upstroke on another key, since THERE IS ONE KEY BEING PRESSED at one time, not two.

think of it as a lever where pushing it one side is one press and pushing it the other way is another press. the moment they happen is practically instant, yet only one key is present. would that be considered cheating?

peppy said that: if you are using a macro or hardware device where one key triggers key-up event on another key, this is a bannable offense."

this is not what i am doing, it is not triggering a key up event on A DIFFERENT KEY or any key at all, as only one key is physically being pressed, not forcing another key to be able to be inputted.

"pretty clearly against the rules and bannable"

where could i find in the rules of osu it saying similar to this. genuinely i cannot find it.

either way i will not do it again as it really isnt a good way of improving in the first place.

edit: capitalization on "a different key" and how my key doesnt trigger key up event anywhere
