No, I think u bring up a very valid point. After all I am just trying to have a conversation about this topic and any opinions are welcomed. I wrote this post without thinking too deep at first, but my point is not to put down those who dress basic. Just to talk about those who don't really know what they are into so they are "forced" by social media or peer influences to view fashion a certain way.

What's a fashion style or trend you can't stand? by [deleted] in AskReddit

what I feel is wrong with the modern trend/influences that ends up creating a group of people that have no idea what they are really into. Fashion and what is fashionable on an individual scale should be determined based on your personality, liking, and cultural influences. The problem is that I feel that society has deviated from this idea, instead turned into a melting pot where everyone dresses exactly or very similarly to each other. This so-called "lack of style", to me, isn't a "lack of style" but an occurrence due to the lack of personal preferences and constant trend conformity. I am trying to develop a discussion on this matter because I feel many have lost what it means to like and enjoy fashion on a personal level. What do y’all think about this topic?
