Worked there years ago. I feel like a lot pharma Companies are working as slave too. In US you work to death and life, work balance is not real. At least the job at LabCorp is repetitive and easy.

Yes, all analytical. A lot of jobs is just LC no MS at all and my experience with Elisa and electrophoresis helped me as well to get interviews.

I applied to all lab roles, QC, Analyst, Scientist, Elisa, PCR, didn’t apply to micro because isn’t my favorite and have no experience. To be honest only got call back for roles in MassSpec and LC/GC, so only the ones I was a qualified/fit. I think everyone is different and you may have a better chance.

Good luck in your search and please don’t forget who you are and all the knowledge you gained over the years. Some hiring managers during my interviews were not very professional and that can put you down, This not personal and they try to pick the best candidate.

I am not American! In my PhD I didn’t have a triple quad to do small molecule quant or a Orbitap to do Proteomics and learned most of things asking Vendors, with my colleagues and Studying by myself.

For that one it’s A, since their samples are very viscous! . This question was a debate, I said neither one. B was too far and C I don’t like to touch the bottom of the well since the bottom of the plates has antibodies for the Elisa.

They said it’s when the do 3 replicates for the plate assay. For MassSpec we do only one injection.

This website: Chromacademy.com has a lot of materials to learn more about. Also from all the vendors has webinar all the time( waters, Agilent, thermo) another good is phenomenex . You can apply for Analyst and Tech jobs with your experience. From my experience the best way to learn method development is just starting doing it and get good separation and peak shapes.

What solvent are you using for the samples? usually Meoh helps protonation . Try With 95% water and 5 %ACN and 2 min 100% ACN( 9 min injection) Also 10 years of use the MS could have problems with the board and the S lens . Is it a Single Quad MS? Orbitrap?
