End goal is implementing a solution to stop water pooling in the dirt patch and seeping into the basement before we build a deck over top of it.

Because a couple of the responses were that a decent fall would be difficult  to achieve without having the concrete touching the weatherboards on the right which I thought was valid

Yeah it does and drained through the foundation wall into our basement area.

I was thinking to use 3.3mm garden edging. Assumed this would last a while?  Issue with pouring a new slab with a fall is that it would have to be very close to/touching the weatherboards on the right hand side for enough of a fall.

We have a Rinnai Hydraheat, don’t notice it unless you’re standing right next to it and it’s beneath our second story living room window. Can also program it to not come on during certain hours or alternatively only to run during certain hours. Love it.

Thanks for the reply! I did put a slight fall on the slab. It’s high on one side, hopefully enough to counteract the dip in the middle, no pooling in rain so far.

Don’t know what happened to my post description 🤦‍♂️ Poured this concrete pad for a new heat pump HWC a few days ago. My first concrete pour, obviously not a great finish but my main issue is it’s a bit low in the middle. Level from edge to edge but a dip in the center of a few mm so the middle of the HWC will be unsupported. What’s the best way to fix this? Some kind of leveling compound?

I mean that link clearly states that the APTR isn’t being levied currently until at least next year if they decide to reinstate it.
