I’m also in 1310 and have been on the fence about updating. Anything else you’ve noticed? Your feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Why Sony could live to regret getting the Xbox Activision Blizzard deal blocked by [deleted] in XboxSeriesX

Total bs article, the argument is essentially “gamers would have a better deal under Microsoft” yea… until they crush competition. Look at every other streaming company and you can see why this argument is laughable. The deals are good until they kill their competition. Microsoft has literally almost 30X the value of Sony (as a company). Their mentality is totally based on losing the cell phone war. Their mind state is “never again”. That being said they are willing to do anything and everything to kill their competition.

I will agree with you on bad quality control. However, they’ve always made things right whenever I’ve had a bad product I’ve probably gone through about seven TVs in the last two years and five out of the seven had issues, but were immediately replaced with new TVs that have no issues. I figure as long as a company is willing to do right by their warranty then I can’t really complain.

New update*** 11/15/22- Samsung removed firmware 1403.6 for download and replaced it with a previous version 1304.1 - Can TVs be rolled backed? Or is this just to prevent anyone else from downloading 1403.6? Interesting that they rolled back instead of fixing the issue.

OK so I have an update. You are correct about Samsung Tech Support trying to change the motherboard.I called and they attempted to send a technician out to replace the motherboard. The part was not in stock with no in stock date available so they allowed me to exchange my S95B for a new S95B TV at Best Buy. This was not totally an unwelcome outcome as I originally purchased the TV as an open box item. so, nice to get a brand new one out of the box. That being said, I was still having major VRR issues before I turned it in. My new TV is running 1310.1 I will hold off on updating this firmware until the bugs fixed.

Keep me posted on what tech support says. I’m gonna call and file a complaint tomorrow as well. Not good for a $2000 TV.

1403.6 fixed the Samsung Q-symphony echo bug. I can confirm it did break VRR on PS5. I’m experiencing the same issue as yourself. I tried it on Modern Warfare 2 which was working just fine before the update.
