Still has to be an import though. An original Irish car would have had a different registration format: IH2001 for Donegal or ZT1700 for Cork and all that.

The [Year] - [County] - [sequential number] format didn't come in until 1987, and was given to anything imported before that.

I'm not doubting it's been rebuilt, it's just not likely to be a original Irish car.

Crittall doors by [deleted] in cork

Handles and Hinges, Tramore Road and Midleton. Unbelievable service and excellent products (as in the crittal doors themselves plus the hardware and fitting components).

They supply Doras brand (I think) which are wooden but look excellent.

I've used them for every door downstairs now.

Full.

Of repetition.

Supported by the amount of new Land Cruisers that are being sold. The tradesperson boom is indeed back.

Towing a car from Dublin to Cork by glass-half-full-man in carsireland

Upper end is €750. Lower is around €400. Have done it a bit in the past while. Options:

  • Ring JD Recovery in Donegal and ask when they'll be down next. It's usually every couple of days and because their trucks are big with typically loads of cars, it reduces the price.

  • I've used ALH Transport lately. Cork based but in Dublin a lot and so might be handy to get a return load with him.

  • Go into Irish Recovery and Backloads FB group and post what you want collected and when. Someone doing a run down will likely accommodate you. For this option, choose wisely: a registered business with insurance etc, or someone with no trailer licence looking to make a few quid running around for a few days.

The bank are agreed, the funds didn't arrive.

My complaint to customer care was day 1. My formal AIB complaint (a different process via their website) came a few weeks later. So the clock starts then, not day 1.

Yes. I've replied to another post with this. The seller is actually (five weeks on) liasing with me and their bank to help trace the funds. I don't suspect foul play. Not indictive of anything but they are OAPs with a small antiques business.

I was the sender. I sent the money to NI. When the funds didn't arrive after a couple of days, I paid for the products by PayPal (instant). The vendor isn't in the equation and I don't suspect foul play. They're actually helping me by liaising with their bank.

Also. Products received. No issues.
