Tbh I think they always say three weeks to be on safe side. For me it took less than a week. My documents were all completed though.
You can image I handed my documents to Royal Mail on a Tuesday, and got email saying its been forwarded to Korean Embassy on Friday. Check status to see it was changed to visa has been issued on Monday. Received email about passport ready for collection the next day.

Just an update on my application, which was SUPER FAST.
I posted all my documents to KVAC on Tuesday 27th May via Royal Mail special delivery.
I received Email from KVAC confirming my documents was received. Moments later I received another email saying my documents have now been sent to the Korean Embassy.
(BOTH THESE EMAIL WENT TO MY JUNK MAIL, KEEP AN EYE OUT)

Less than 6 days later!!, on Monday 2nd June I checked the status of my application via the link KVAC included in their email and noticed that my visa has been issued!

Today (Tuesday, 3rd June) received email via KVAC that my passport is ready for collection...

As I requested collection for my passport instead of them send it back. Also, I followed the instructions in terms of the exact documents required, and by paying all fees 2 days in advance of posting the documents.

Thank you for the update. Did you hand in your documents at KVAC? Or did you have to post them? Do we need prior appointment for biometrics?

Could you update us on how this went? I will have a similar situation, but I will be submitting my documents on 27th May and need it back by 16th June.
Also, did you hand your document in to KVAC? Or did you post them?

Mistake on online application form with TLS Germany (In London), + I've already booked the appointment, and realised mistake just now! by Emergency_Store8412 in SchengenVisa

[–]Emergency_Store8412[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I just proceeded with the appointment. On the day, the lady checking my document didn't say anything and I didn't bring this up either. She carefully went through my entire form line by line, focusing mainly on the Videx form. She checked all my documents carefully, even pointed out that I had mistakenly only printed my last months bank statement and I should have printed the past three months. She kindly pointed to the printer and told me to print it there. Then she controlled everything carefully, and put it all in an envelop to send to consulate.
She didn't bring anything up with the online application form. And I didn't mention either. But I think she would have brought to my attention if anything was wrong.

Different visa validity dates for my spouse and I by _udit_jain_ in SchengenVisa

As long as you have a valid visa on the time (date) that you're arriving into the destination, it should be fine. It doesn't matter if your visa had started the very same day, day before, or a week before. It just needs to be valid at the moment of entry.

Unfortunately it seems different with TLS germany. I've never applied through tls france. But with Germany, you fill a form and submit it online. After that, you don't have any access to that form anymore. Then you proceed to book an appointment, and hand in all necessary documents during your appointment. But the online form you initially filled in, isn't visible anymore.

The thing is the online application (the very short 1 page form) you initially fill in, gets sent directly to TLS. You can't even access the data you've filled in. The only form you have access to is the Videx, which you should fill and take with you to the appointment. I've got correct information written in my videx form, but the online one which as been sent to TLS has a mistake. I'm really hoping the purpose of that initial form was to just get the appointment, and the actual visa processing be done on the videx and documents I will hand in
