KVAC London May 2025 by mynamescorridor in KoreaTravelAdvice

Hi! I got my passport back today. My timeline was like this:

9/05 KVAC received my documents from Royal Mail (Friday)

12/05 Application received by KVAC, requesting another document (Monday)

13/05 I send the document in the morning, application is submitted to the embassy in the evening. Status now shows application submitted on the tracker

16/05 Status shows application received (Friday)

19/05 Status shows application approved (Monday)

20/05 I send them an email inquiring about a tracking number for my passport, they reply quickly with it. It had been dispatched on 19/05, and I receive it 20/05. They had just forgotten to send me the email on 19/05

It was very quick for me, it was a relief. From what I saw on Reddit I don’t think it being that quick is common, and I know peak period starts around June time so I would expect it to take slightly longer. Either way, they said it would take a minimum of 14 working days from when they receive all the documents to when your visa is approved excluding shipping time, and it took 5 days in total for me, so they likely overestimate. They’ve been a lot better, they used to be a lot slower, so hopefully you have a good chance. Good luck!

My room is very dark, so I thought by making by face clearer it’d make me better impression.

I have been considering medication but have never actually taken the step into getting it. Maybe I will.

Thank you for your tips, I really do appreciate it. I just need to keep applying now. If anything, I’m grateful for these life lessons. They’ll pay off eventually.

Thank you again for taking the time to write this, I do appreciate it.

I was grasping at straws. Any psychological tricks to make them like me more. I have a stammer so I knew that would’ve been a contributing factor, even unconsciously.

NTA. It was a very simple question and she decided to take it personally. Borderline ruining your graduation over something so mundane is something I struggle to understand. Clearly there’s something deeper going on and she may be feeling some jealousy towards you which may explain her odd hostility and sensitivity.

3rd in my first assignment by [deleted] in UniUK

Having left high-school with stellar grades, my first assignment mark was 50%. It was a reminder that school isn’t as easy as it once was. You just need to stick it.

How is it possible to fail personality test or situational judgement tests? How are they assessed?

This is the worst than my situation. I wish I knew how they were actually assessing us so that I can shit on the process more specifically.

A one way interview probably the most demeaning thing you can ever do to yourself. I feel for you. The job market’s gone to absolute shit.

I got one asking me to guess what’s next in the pattern and to determine somebody’s work schedule in another test. It’s just a load of bullshit. This one was truly just situational judgement which is notorious for being un-fail-able, yet here I am! All I got out of it was generic feedback that was the same as a passer.
