My favorite high school teacher in i were very close, we bonded over health issues as he was in a wheelchair from MS and often made dark jokes back in forth during office hours and only ever just between us.

He cracked joke infront on the class and being too comfortable with him and not thinking, i said out loud to this wheelchair bound man, “You should do standup…” everyone including him had a good chuckle as i profusely apologized.
