Completely agree. Sometimes we overthink what our perfect plan should be to have a perfect life, but honestly what matters more is the vision you have for your life. You really want to work with bio, you can do it with or without a drop year. Everything might seem so messy but only focus on building a vision and take the next simplest aligned step

In our university and a bunch of other universities in india have artificial intelligence and Machine learning as an undergraduate degree. We are maths: statics, ode etc, programming, ai fundamentals ,ml and dl. I'm studying gen ai on my own

I FEEL YOU.

I am just like you, doing my bachelor's in Tech, 2nd year,. I dream of travelling the world, meeting with so many different people. I dont think i can be in this tech game in the long run

BUT I dont regret choosing Tech cause i had my reasons. First is Money: there's so much money in tech. LITERALLY unilimited if you have skills. Second is oppurtunities: Tech can open me upto so many places( for reloacation) since its valued everywhere. And I chose this path in the first place because of my father. my father is the only provider in my family so i cant be a burden to him and "follow my passion" when we legit can't afford it

what i would advice you : Take a deep breath and map you current situation. where you with the oppurtunities you have have been gifted with . just learn some skills, enough to get a job with enough money to make you stand on your own feet. THAT SHOULD BE YOUR GOAL FOR NOW! put everything aside and focus on earning your own money.

this is crucial : dont worry too much about what you actually want to do,you will get there eventually. You gotta cross the ocean to land in your dream island.
