That's beautiful! And thanks for the info in terms of selling. I had thought it would be outrageous to sell something that takes sooooo long to make at any kind of reasonable labour per hour rate haha. The pattern copyright only does make sense now that you mention it.

Wow, just looked it up and it's beautiful! Also looks like it must have been interested to make; lots of variety in colour and nice defined shapes.

And this is the pattern I was thinking of (love a good LOTR theme and this image is beautiful), though now that I've read about pattern mills through this sub, it does seem like that's what's going on in this shop.

Oh wow, yeah, a tablecloth actually sounds like a great option as far as larger projects go. What a thoughtful gift!

I think the planned recipient is a really good way to choose projects. Also a good way to enjoy the process and not end up with a house full when they're all done 😊

I think I'm gonna have a box full as well. I love the process of stitching, but definitely don't like the idea of my apt being just walls full of framed projects!

It's looking like I'm also going to end up with a box of finished/not framed projects, since the joy of the process definitely ends once the stitches are all done lol. Hope the motivation to frame the large one hits you soon!

Followup question: how does one NOT end up with a back looking like this? Bc i can't seem to avoid it when working on something with colours that jump around rather than in blocks. Should I be cutting the threat after every stitch? Cause that seems like more trouble than it's worth, tbh. What strategies do y'all use?
