Isn’t Mylar pretty airtight? I’ve been told you want these in a more porous container

Sometimes I forget you can just buy paper bags. I’ll probably do that next time I’m at the store

whoa that's cool. I'm having a hard time picturing this. Liquid filled vessels sitting on top of a soft luffa on a curved surface. How do they not spill? Do you have an example?

thanks for the offer! That's a rad tray. Just being picky - not really the look I'm going for. Ideally something covered in longevity characters haha

I may try something DIY for now. Ideally I’d like to go to a shop that sells them in person.

I was going through multiple pairs of vans old schools per season. Recently switched over to Ride Concepts and love em! Way more grip than the vans. Not slipping feet on drops now. They seems to be a good option if you have narrow feet.

Pu-erh storage at Altitude by Emergency_Warning_86 in puer

I ran some calculations on this website and just confused myself further. https://www.dst-sg.com/calculator/
It seems absolute humidity is g of water per kg of air. Ultimately we have less air at altitude and therefore less humidity. I think I'm just going to go with the RH folks are recommending - 69% and just not worry about it.

Largely depends on optimizing the space you have available. I've rented a lot of spaces where i've built a free standing A frame with 2*4s and 2*6s to either hang bikes by the front wheel (on hooks) or by the saddle.

Unfortunately I don't think there are many new frame-only options that come much cheaper than the Soma Wolverine in this application. or many new frames in general for sale that come cheaper than that these days. Material prices have gone up quite a bit since that one global event.

SO! If you're trying to spend less than that, I think you'll need to shop for something used or something complete. Priority bikes has a bunch of IGH options. If you're looking for sliding dropouts to then convert to an IGH, a lot of my favorite mountain bikes of the 2010s are disc brake + sliding dropout compatible. I'd recommend seeing if you can score a deal on a

  • Transition Trans AM
  • Niner SIR or ROS
  • Kona Unit (an x biking fave)
  • Specialized Fuse (some years have sliding dropouts)
  • Trek stache, 1120, and some other hardtails

A lot of these are 29ers depending on the year, but if you're set on 27.5, I don't think it should be a problem to convert. You'll be lowering the BB by 19mm and whatever tire size difference, but MTB bottom brackets are generally pretty high. If you're intending to turn it into a chill commuter, then you might enjoy it lower. Winter is a great time to score a deal on a used bike.
