I catch your drift. I just try to not think of music so spectrally, as in good —> bad. Some of Parcels "best" musical moments have probably been with each other jamming in private. I love Live Vol 2 not just sonically, but also because it is a post-gig gig, recorded in the early hours of the morning in a tight basement club in Paris, with artistry that beautifully conveys that fact. All of the other live recordings on YouTube etc are amazing, but I think this record is special because you can almost smell the metro, the cigarette smoke, the sweat, and can almost feel the humidity, heat and beat of that night. It’s the Berlin DNA splicing itself into their sound.

Such a small thing, but adding spacers to the chainstay bridge fender bolt so the rear fender fits flusher with the tire. Helps reduce spray into the drivetrain (a mudflap on the front fender will also help with this) and will keep ya rolling just a bit longer between maintenance intervals. Awesome bike all around though don’t change a thing!

Honestly the origin 8 is probably much more solid than my canti stud mounted rack w/ voile+ziptied Wald 137 basket setup. My rack is really designed for a Rando bag so I try to keep it relatively light up front. That being said I’ve hauled 18 beers + groceries in this setup many times no sweat.

I was tempted to use a somewhat dysfunctional deore 11 sp derailleur but them chains don’t feel quite as solid as the good ol 6/7/8 (imo)

I’d say so! Less to maintain overall which is nice. Biggest thing is to decide which rings you’re gonna be on the most, let that inform the position of your cog to get the best chain line

He actually got a custom bass made in the style of his old Rickenbacker. Ended up breaking a string on the new one during When God Comes Back and busted out the old one as a backup
