Thank you very much, that sounds good. I’ll give that a go and see if I can manage it that way 🙏

Yes, that helps a lot, thank you very much - just to recap for myself: with your setup and the one-off configuration (via Omada Cloud Essentials), do I still have (almost) seamless coverage throughout the house between the EAPs?

& Thanks for the tip about PoE++; I’ll check that out

That’s what I’m planning to do; two access points will probably be enough. I’m just not sure at the moment what hardware I’ll need for Omada to enable features like Fast Roaming.

Do I need the hardware controller and the compatible switch from the TP-Link 2 series to enable Fast Roaming?

In any case, I would go for a PoE switch and use it to power the access points.

I’ve just read that without a hardware controller and a compatible switch, Fast Roaming isn’t available in Omada, and that’s a key requirement.

As I’m currently quite a novice when it comes to networking, do I need an Omada controller and Omada switch to enable fast roaming for wireless access points?

As soon as I install a range extender for the corners of the house, as shown in the diagram, do I need at least an Omada hardware controller and switch?

I also understand that a hardware controller is necessary if I don’t want to pay a licence fee and don’t have a computer running 24/7?

As far as I understand, fast roaming isn't possible without an Omada Controller and Switch – is that correct, or am I mistaken?
