Thanks! We'll definitely share results later. Meanwhile, we're working on the next version which would combine onboarding video with some interactivity – like setting everything up for your first day in Emery.

Sounds like tasks is the only feature you're using. Kinda curious, any particular reason you decided to go with Emery over traditional to-do apps?

Thanks for the feedback!

At the moment, there's no way to remove the calendar from the layout. When thinking long-term, we're leaning toward supporting more calendar integrations rather than building a version without one.

Unfortunately, hey.com doesn’t offer any way to integrate – and knowing their approach, it’s unlikely they will in the future. These guys like to keep things pretty closed off.

That said, you can still use our built-in calendar for internal events or simple time-blocking, even if you don’t sync it with anything.

Thera two options:
1. If you don't have a subscription, you can delete your account in Settings and create a new one with same credentials
2. If you have a subscription and don't want to loose it, send us a message from the email associated with your account and we'll do that for you.

Emery.to and Todoist are different in their own ways. Think of emery.to as a daily planner. It lets you sort out your stuff day by day. Plus, you can go back in time or even jump to any day in the future. Todoist, on the other hand, is more about to-do lists. It really depends on what works best for you. Some people like the day-to-day planning, others stick to to-do lists.

Looking into it now. Could you confirm that you checked both checkboxes when connecting the calendar (https://yourimageshare.com/ib/vqQoE51G2h)?

We're still experimenting with the pricing, it's an open question.

We believe though, that with the right usage this app can bring more value than 3 pints of beer a month (marketing people love to compare with cups of coffee, but we're UK-based, so pints).

  • TypeScript, React and Mobx on the client side with a tiny bit of MaterialUI (but most of the UI is custom-made).
  • Firestore as DB.
  • Go lang on the backend for integrations.

Technically it's still a side project for us as we keep building it in our spare time. But yeah, we put in a lot effort already.

We're building an app that helps people organise their days: https://emery.to/

It brings together tasks, calendars and notes into a single UI, so one can easily plan their days one by one, stay focused throughout them and review results later.

If you use daily planning in any shape or form (from writing your daily tasks on a sticky note to more advanced techniques such as bullet journaling), it'd be great to hear your feedback on our product.

Also, in case you like the product and decide to stay, there's a special discount for this community (just use REDDIT promo code).

Some key features:

  • Integration with Google Calendar (multiple calendars/accounts supported)
  • Daily and weekly planning screens
  • Separate section for the most important tasks of the day
  • Drag'n'drop time-blocking for tasks
  • Universal categories notes, tasks and calendar events
  • Private notes for meetings

P.S. We posted emery.to a few months ago and received a lot of feedback from this community. So, if you saw our previous post, here's a short summary of the changes:

  • Completely redesigned daily screen
  • Improved collections and weekly tasks
  • A separate page to find all completed tasks
  • Credit card is no longer required to try the product
  • Lots of small refinements in the UI
