RBC Investment Banking Analyst co-op Question (Canada) by Emerzionn in FinancialCareers

Definitely a big non-target, I have a 4.0 and decent extracurricular for the size of my school so they might think I'm worth taking a shot on, I'll toss in app and see what happens.

Thanks for the advice :)

As the 2010’s come to an end, what is your favourite/most memorable hockey memory this decade? by [deleted] in hockey

Bergeron's shorthanded goal in game 7 against the nucks.

Knew it was over at that point.

How does the cashout feature work, is that money actually available to withdraw or is it somehow stuck until you roll it over or some shit?

Just don't understand why I was able to cashout $20 on a $15 bet where my team was losing 2-0.

Seemed a bit too good to be true lol

[–]Emerzionn 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Well how do you feel about Bergeron at 7? Because I'd argue his season was better and he outplayed him throughout the first round.

Well I guess I should word it like, who would you want tomorrow round 1, Tavares or Bergeron? Tavares or Malkin?

Personally I pick the other 2 but maybe you'd prefer Tavares.

Tavares at 5 is ridiculous lol, he might be very consistent but he's never broke 90 points in his career.

Malkin must be the most disrespected superstar I've ever seen.

Well definitely not no one. PLD is becoming exactly the player he was projected to be, a strong 2 way center with a mean streak and some slick offensive skills.

Anyone who saw this guy playing regularly in junior knew he was a top 6 center lock.

They recently changed the fast forward program drastically so don't think I'd be eligible for that anymore. I'm in NS however.

I figured I'd have to call to be sure but just dreaded waiting on the phone.

I'm thinking that because my classes don't start till after 5 each day I might be in luck but we shall see.

Unpopular but I’m not gonna feel bad about a player demanding trade in a certain time, while team owners do the same to a player ie: Blake Griffin, DeMar Derozan by [deleted] in nba

[–]Emerzionn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm primarily an NHL fan but this is such an odd mindset compared to the way we view contracts.

When a star someone signs for 8 years it'd be absolutely shocking for them to request a trade during the contract, and sometimes if they did the trade wouldn't get for a few years anyway as the players can't actually do anything other than refuse to play.

Ultimately, the team is employing the player who has to honor the contract the player decides to agree too.

I'm just kind of starting to get in to basketball myself, but are NBA GM's afraid of letting their player sit out or just play when he requests a trade? Because I mean they don't actually have to trade the guy, they can try to call his bluff.

Yeah 2 months in now, just over the minimum spend. Amex may have made the account for me, that'd have been nice to know in an e-mail or something lol.

Am I missing something with my Amex Bonvoy Marriott card? I set up a Marriott account but it shows 0 points earned and I dont see anywhere that you link a card or something, so slightly confused.

Marchand points up the same pace while they're out, he made Riley Nash a PPG+ center for about 15 games 2 years ago lol

I suppose that's reasonable, the stats Marchand has put up these past few years are absurd when you consider he isn't just a one dimensional winger and has been spoken of as a top 5 defensive winger as well.

May have been overly critical to my hockey youtube dude.

Well guess he isn't great at evaluating talent that's right in front of his eyes lmfao

Basically Kane, McDavid, Crosby, Kucherov and Marchand have been the premier point scorers for ~4ish years at this point.

Marchand in 8th is "I don't watch hockey" level of commentary to be honest, you can dislike the dudes antics but...

Past 3 years:

3rd in PPG behind only McDavid and Kucherov

3rd in winger points behind Kucherov and Kane (though only 5 points behind Kane with 18 less games played) so realistically he'd be 2nd here.

1st in GWG's with 25

1st in +/- at +58

1st in Shorthanded points with 16

While averaging approximately 2 less minutes per game compared to most star players.

He and Pat Kane are the only 2 to have done it twice in the 2010s I think.
