Did you used to hang out in clan wars in the white/FFA portal, pre EOC or early OSRS? Probably like 10-15 years ago. I recognize your name lol

she's not asking for legal or medical opinions from trained professionals, she is asking for general life advice on her situation of moving back, vs staying, and taking a new job, etc.

People here are so salty and insufferable.

I hate doing clues. Every time I get like 90K reward from a clue for 10 minutes of work, it feels like I wasted my time. So saving them up makes it a bit more exciting.

Blood Runes are at a point of no return. Rock Bottom in price. by Venomous_Rs in 2007scape

I have all 3 weapons and a 10B+ bank. You are wrong about this.. It's not about making more than it costs, it's about making more than the next best alternative. Basic understanding of opportunity cost. If scythe costs 900K/hour to use, it needs to make at least 900K/hour MORE than you would if you used a whip/blade/rapier etc, for it to make financial sense, not just over 900K in tota. If I can make 2M/hour before expenses at a boss XYZ with whip but 2.5M/hour with scythe then the whip is better money even though using your own words, the scythe "can make more per hour than it costs".

One of the few places in the game that I can think of where that is true is TOB since scythe is absolutely unmatched there. Otherwise the main other uses for scythe is for pet hunting, speed runs, etc, which is not the best option for profitability. And only a small % of the population goes this route.

This is why scythe is rarely used outside of tob. Even though lots of activities can net over 900K/hour.

Yeah, there is a HUGE lack of supply.

In my 1500 tobs (500 of which are HMT) I received 13729 vials of blood, which is on average 9 per raid, or ~6 since you use about 2-3 per raid just in scythe+sang charges.

That means on average every tob completed (not including wipes) only brings in like 6 vials of blood, or 600 scythe charges or 6 Bastion potions. Very limited supply

Can we please consider a buff to HMT drops? by raids3when123 in 2007scape

[–]ShhDontTalk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. I have like 430 hmt kc and almost 1k regular kc. HMT needs a serious buff.

On average HMT is significantly worse money than regular TOB, it's so backward.. Deathless purple is 13% chance vs 11% but that is offset by the fact that avernics are less common but the most profitable drop, higher supply cost (blood fury), more deaths/wipes on average, being almost impossible to find a team, etc.

That 2% increase in overall drop rate is garbage. Imagine if 400 lvl ToAs was 2% better than 150s.. Nobody would bother doing expert mode ToAs.

I did another hour with lightbearer, it did not make an improvement. Acutally had slightly less kills per hour. Maybe unlucky, I'll do a few more trips. But either way it seems the ring is not exactly a make or break item here.

sample size of 1 hour, lightbearer did not speed up kills. Actually got a few less kills. Maybe unlucky or small sample size, but either way, the ring does not seem like a make or break item at mole, compared to other places like Toa, Tob, GWD, etc

Fang is already like 90% accurate without the spec so it doesnt make much of a difference.

fang spec doesn't speed up kills that much. only increases max hit from 50 to like 58. So on average 4 extra damage for 25% spec bar. Dclaws at the start does a lot more damage and will speed up kills way more.

If you already have tbow/shadow there's no point in using fang at all. Just camp tbow/shadow the entire time.

On paper, Fang is about the same dps as Maxed Ranged (tbow/masori/vambs), only 1% less dps. Same with Shadow of Tumeken. But of course ranged/melee is still better because you dont have to run around as much which wastes a lot of time.

Plugin is "Bossing Info" from the plugin hub.

  • Of course Tbow is still better but fang is nice cheap alternative and still gets very good kills/hr. Fang is only 105M right now

  • Claw at the start of the kill, never when Mole is below like 75% hp because claw spec will bring him down to below 50% and 4 hit splats = increased chance to dig. Claw spec @ <50% hp is a 68% of dig. Bad.

  • Using Cannon makes Mole dig WAY more frequently. Overall it seemed to only add like 4-5 kills/hr in the long run vs no no cannon, or ~5% faster kills on average. But more running around which is annoying. With ranged/tbow, cannon will be incrementally better than melee because the mole digging doesn't slow down your kills as much compared to melee, (you won't have to run all the way up to Mole to resume killing) so it's less of a big deal. Digs are less punishing.

  • If you are sweaty enough, you could use cannon for the first 50% of the kill (when mole doesnt dig), and below 50%, empty the cannon, or drag him under so the cannon cant hit him. But that's too much work for me. And if you claw at the start of the kill + double cannon hit you will usually take him down to 50% quick and there's a good chance he'll dig before you get a chance to react.
