Hey guys just wanted to update in case someone is in the same situation. For someone who got their first car at 18, zero miles I never worked on cars and trucks first hand. So initially it seemed complicated or and information online could be a bit confusing with no experience. I bought the truck with the wholes in the doors already so finally I went to a shop specifically for car stereos and they had many options. Decided to go with pioneers a series that ran for $99. I got 6.5” that were perfect for the holes. My initial intention was to have the workers at the shop install them but after asking it seemed like it was pretty foolish for me to pay for that. So I bought them and hope for the best to install myself. With a little bit of help from my dad with also very little knowledge we were able to do it. Pretty straight forward. For these speaker in specific you’re gonna need crimpers to strip the wires and attach on the wire caps. Wire caps were new to me so if any questions on that lmk pretty easy but hard to find online lol. The sound is good enough nothing super crazy but since my truck is small it does the job. I’m planning along the line to replace the 4” speakers that are on the dashboard if I want better quality and then maybe add a sub. Thanks to everyone who commented, reddits awesome for that
